Cassette to cd?

yeah, you can hook up a tape deck to the back of a computer's line-in using a couple of little gizmos that you can get from radio shack.

then you need to use some kind of recording software and capture the audio from the line in. After that, you've got a standard wave file that you can burn to a cd. You'll likely want to use the same recording software to split up the songs into tracks.

1. I had Monkey Do transferred to disc years ago. I made it available here as a bit torrent last year.

2. That was the last cassette I was ever able to successfully get anyone to transfer for me. Apparently it's a serious hassle; even in 2006.

(NB Esau is helping me with a couple cassettes, and I am not insinuating he is not being helpful by the above. Esau had something happen to his computer the same week that I sent him some tapes.)

LOL, I guess you didn't see my post about that in the Fat Cats thread with the list of new shows up & shows coming, as well a few other Canadian artists. Bruce Cockburn being one (two) of those.

Bottom of first post.... ;)
