Mr. Photogeek
So I'm watching Treehouse with my one year old and I'm kinda digging on this particular theme song...kinda jammy and the dudes got a good voice...hmm, really reminds me of someone...so I google it and it turns out to be Bruce Cockburn!! Cockburn on FranklinI'm not sure if this is the Cockburn version (apparently it was recorded by someone else for the American version), and I don't have a sound card at work to check...but here is a link to listen to it: Hey, Its Franklin! Dr_Evil_Mouse
That is indeed Bruce doing the original. Apparently he remains pretty jaded about the whole thing. I remember someone calling out a request for the Franklin theme at a show a couple of years back and being told in no uncertain terms that it wasn't ever going to happen . MamaPink
that's funny - I always wondered who did that song too! I can't stand that show, but the theme song has my kid dancin' in his highchair.
can-o-phish
Yep, that's Bruce doin' the Franklin Theme Song which I, believe it or not, did the music pre-mix for when we did the sound edit on this series...never met Bruce though...

Calamity Jane
never seen the show, but we had at least 7 Franklin books and they're great, simple, fun "lesson" stories! IIRC, Cockburn's dissatification with the theme song came not from the melody, but from the relentless takes and re-takes he was forced to do in studio, apparently. You can only sing any kinda theme song for so long before growing to absolutely loathe it (that is, unless you are a 3-6 year old!!)
