Sunshine
See my co-worker and I are arguing over the fact that I made it to Riveria du Loop in 5 1/2 hrs (from Ottawa), and i was across the river from the Quebec Bridge in about 3 1/2 hours. This is driving anywhere btw. 120-140 on open highway. He uses google map to find distances....is there any other way to get more of an accurate read?Help me make him see the light! Booche
i was across the river from the Quebec Bridge in about 3 1/2 hours. Its almost 500 km's to Quebec City and you had to go through Montreal. Think about that.

Kanada Kev
I guess they assume you are going to go the speed limit at all times or something.Yup. And only on the one route that they deem to be the one you're taking. On other trip planner software they allow you to insert your average driving speeds on various levels of highways. Also incorprates pit stops, etc. Get one hooked up to a GPS in your car and it will adjust as you go!Later . . . Kanada Kev =8)
Booche
Well Sunshine, DaveO thinks it is possible provided you are travelling over 125 km/hr and not stopping.
Asparagus
With little traffic, it is definitely possible.

AD
road network files used in online navigation aids have a cost (speed limit) for each segment of road (path). it will calculate a cost-path analysis the route it deems to be most direct.of course it is different that real-world driving. dave-O
From Ottawa 2h to Mtl+ 2h to Levis (across the river from Quebec City)+ 1.5h to R-d-L= 5.5hThat's what it takes us every time, and I doubt our average speed is over 125 km/h.
