YearsAlongTheSea
I love how he makes up words. When asked how he felt about seeing the hanging of Saddam Hussein he said:"I'm not a revengeful man..."I'm not revengeful either; who knew we had that in common? Dr_Evil_Mouse
Then it's working! I got to go through some of George Orwell's Politics and the English Language in class this week, and that's always a great ride. My theory is that Bush "works" because a big portion of the electorate just gives up and figures that there's no point sorting things through, and that was precisely Orwell's point (though he looked at the other spectrum of language, where it looks impressive, but is also shady). The Chameleon
Here's some more: I always jest to people, the Oval Office is the kind of place where people stand outside, they're getting ready to come in and tell me what for, and they walk in and get overwhelmed in the atmosphere, and they say, man, you're looking pretty. --George w. BushWashington, DC11/04/2004 We look forward to analyzing and working with legislation that will make—it would hope—put a free press's mind at ease that you're not being denied information you shouldn't see. --George w.
