Dr_Evil_Mouse
At least they shut Le Pen out of it again. The fact that he was even a little significant points to the temperature in the country.

AdamH
France could move a little more center and be better off, I think it's a good thing. Ms. Royal was the dingbat not Sarkozy.

meggo
from what little i have read about this race, the thing that worried me about sarkozy is his perceived anti-immigration stance. apparently he did not visit the "banlieus" during his campaign, either. hopefully he'll prove that wrong! scottieking
Notice how there is no accusations of tampering though....The people spoke with a turn-out that puts North American efforts to shame.France did OK. And will do OK. The world is watching. OK?
Guest Low Roller
All my friends in France were rooting for Sarkozy. Unemployment rate is terrible in France right now, unions are running rampant, and the best thing for that country right now is someone who will rule with a conservative iron fist. Dr_Evil_Mouse
All my friends in France were rooting for Sarkozy. Unemployment rate is terrible in France right now, unions are running rampant, and the best thing for that country right now is someone who will rule with a conservative iron fist. That's funny - all my friend in France are entrenched against him. Just goes to show .
Hux
I wonder if any of Dave's friends hit any of Roller's friends BMW's with rocks after the results were announced?
