dogatthestation
That was real nice...I liked the way he played it.. I have tried for a long time to figure this song out on guitar and it never has sounded quite right to me... but watching him play gives me inspiration to try again! Booche
Hey Kev, have you heard the Red Rocks show yet? It's fucking great. There are a couple of rough sections where the band gets lost in the first set (Bertha and Deal specifically, not to mention the key change in Midnight Rider......and some terrible harmonies during the Ripple from the acoustic set because it aint mixed well) but I have to admit that I have not been this excited about a Phil lineup since the PLQ. I also love the Jackie Greene originals! Great songs and I plan to grab some of his material. This is a young formation and it is clicking early. By the time the hit our side of the continent I get the feeling they will be flying. Even that Particle keyboard player is starting to make sense now. And let's not forget Larry is still slaying mountains.Phil Lesh & Friends 09/29/07 (Sat) Red Rocks Amphitheatre - Morrison, CO Set 1 Bertha, Big River, Midnight Rider, Candyman, Cold Black Devil, Deal, Acoustic: Friend of the Devil, Sweet Somewhere Bound, Deep Elem Blues, Brokedown Palace, Tell Me Mama, Ripple Set 2 A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall, Cryptical Envelopment > The Other One > Dark Star > Mountains of the Moon > Dark Star > China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider, Encore: Phil's Donor Talk/Band Intros Not Fade Away Lineup: Phil Lesh - Bass, Vocals; John Molo - drums; Jackie Green - Guitar, Vocals;Larry Cambell - guitar; Steve Molitz - Keyboards.
