CyberHippie
Wow...I just heard this track, "Get'chall in the mood 98". Wow... This wicked bass solo erupts into this totally wild ambient jam, followed by this Bionca/Hey You madness.I've always enjoyed a little DBB from the periphery, but I had no idea they jammed like that. Good for them!
Schwa.
the version of that on the Rowdy Doody album is awesome!
Patchoulia
I dig DBB. (Though the I could live without the impossible-to-get-out-of-one's-brain "Deep Banana Blackout" chant...that thing is insidious!)
\/\/illy
When I saw them last summer, they blew my mind. Wowzers.
c-towns
I saw them on that 98 tour in upstate New York at a buddies private school function, amazing stuff, they certainly contributed to me getting into this scene.

Northern Wish
I thought Jen Durkin left and that there was some variation still going calle The Bomb Squad?
Patchoulia
I think Brenna is still singing for DBB (I could be wrong, though)...Bomb Squad was formed when Jen left DBB.
bradm
There are two 2007 recordings available athttp://www.archive.org/details/DeepBananaBlackoutso I think they're still an ongoing concern. Big Wooly Mammoth
Jen Durkin left and joined the Bomb Squad. I don't know much about them. I do know that she is back in DBB, but they only play a couple of shows (maybe just one) a year these days. One of those shows is their annual Vibes appearance. They are no longer a touring band. I really dig them as well. But also cannot stand Jen constantly reminding us who we are seeing. I know the friggin name of the band already. Check out their 2006 vibes show - they did a wicked zeppelin medley (whole lotta love>custard pie). Jen also toured with Bernie Worrel years ago - maybe 2000? I saw them in Omaha. I love it!I was at the last Comfort Zone show, and I also saw them at Gathering of the Vibes 2006.I wish they were still a full-time touring band.Peace, Mark
