Weirdness
Anybody catch this one???I've had a cassette sitting in a milk crate for some time now and since they have become one of my fave live bands I have been wanting to dig it out, dust it off and transfer it to digital. Anyways, that day is today and it's been a blast to schwill a couple of ales and check it out. Surprisingly enough it sounds pretty decent all things considered, there's one rough spot that may need some help but otherwise it's quite listenable. The setlist is pretty rough but here's what I have:MisunderstoodForget The FlowersThat's Not The IssueSomeday Soon(Uncle Tupelo-"Roll Me Under The Mattress"???)Red Eyed & BlueI Got You>?("Why Would You Wanna Live In This World"???)Passenger SideI Must Be High??KingpinOttasite-Encores:Box Full Of LettersCasino QueenGun I'll likely post it once I track it out and fix up anything that requires it. bradm
Wow. I didn't realize you had done any taping in Ottawa from around then, and Wilco at The Cave? I seem to recall that place being tiny. Do you have any other recordings from Ottawa around that time? I'm especially interested in the Bitches Brew band, which included Rob Frayne and Wayne Eagles, doing Miles Davis music the from Bitches Brew / In A Silent Way era.I also found a website for Wilco set listshttp://wilcobase.combut it seems to be down.Aloha,Brad
AD
(Uncle Tupelo-"Roll Me Under The Mattress"???)("Why Would You Wanna Live In This World"???)Cool find!No idea what song Roll Me Under the Mattress refers to, so that would be cool to hear to figure it out. And the other one is Why Would You Wanna Live. Would be great to hear Gun and Kingpin from back then.

bouche
shit. I think I would have been living here on my first out of town real job at that time. I came in the winter of '97 and I was ITCHING to go out and party. I remember going to the cave for a couple shows, but I have no idea what I saw. That same year, I missed moe. at Zaphod's so who knows?
