badams
Here is the new Forum for Leaf Fans this season. Let the mocking begin...
Kanada Kev
Go Leafs Go Buh Bye McCabe How LONG is it going to be before we can say Buh Bye Sundin ? Seriously, this guy is back in Toronto and all he has to say is "i'm not in the right headspace right now to make a decision on what I'm going to do". Love ya Mats, but piss or get off the pot already. Last I heard, he wasn't going to do anything until late in November and then announce that he'd be playing for the Rangers. It's all tactics, but it's annoying listening to them speak bullshit. For older players I can understand why starting later in the season is a physical advantage for them (much like Neidermyer did last year) but come on. I read that the NHL is going to impose some new rule to try and curtail this new practice.
SmoothedShredder
Yeah, players should atleast be on an active roster for the year on some professional team. Totally abusive of the cap system too... atleast fake an injury if you're too much of a pussy to play in the regular season... thankfully no cup winner has had any of these pussies on their rosters yet. LXQ42
So, if Sundin IS going to go to the Rangers, who do you guys think would be a marquee player thayt the bud should try and get? Personally, I think they should have tried to get Ollie Jokinnen for McShite instead of VanRyn.
SmoothedShredder
Jaques Martin hates the leafs. So he ended up with the best player in the trade, and a draft pick Ta-boot. If he gave up Jokinen, that would no longer be the case.Leafs suck hardest '08-'09.Harold Ballard would be proud
Hal Johnson
Why does Jaques Martin hate the Leafs? Oh, right, that whole "we own you" thing...I'd hate them too!
SmoothedShredder
I thought Florida scored 8 goals in Toronto last year. I'd hardly say they own him.And before you go trying to explain... don't bother... The Leafs lost in the following round every year... beating the Sens has been the Leafs Stanley cup for the last 11 years... which is probably why the real Stanley Cup is lightyears away from your franchise. The salary cap may of damaged the Sens, but it has obliterated your franchise... I'm talking Hartford Whaler territory here.
Hal Johnson
Bet you the Leafs win the season series this year over the Ottawa Sens.

Hal Johnson
Money is boring, how's a boot you have to wear a Leafs jersey to the next show/concert/event that follows the season that we both attend. Naturally, I would have to do the same with the Ottawa Sens.
Booche
Hal, I have learned a few things in life and this is one of them. Sens fans do not pony-up on lost bets. Isnt that right Dinghy and Ollie? You bet your ass it is.
ollie
Isnt that right Dinghy and Ollie? Hard to say since I fleece the Habs fan at work every year. I can vouch that Kanada Kev pays up though.

And money's not boring... it was fun watching you run away from the original terms. Pansy.
Booche
Thanks Ollie. Lesson learned. You collect bets but dont pay them out. Nice cheating philosophy but that is to be expected of a Pats fan. ::note to self - no longer bet with Ollie::
SmoothedShredder
::note to self - no longer bet with Ollie::I thought you had already made that decision based on a series of previous bets which you won, and Ollie didn't pay. I'm confused... who's dumber... the guy who gets paid, or the guy who keeps betting with someone who never pays when he wins? There's more holes to your story than swiss cheese Booche. Why don't you extrapolate some examples for us so the rest of the board can understand what the fuck you mean.
Booche
It's pretty easy to understand what I am saying. New year, new thread, same message. Only this time you can throw Dinghy into the mix.Watch your back Hal.

Made a $50 note when the Ducks won Lay down your terms here. We can all see it and bear witness.
