Don't get me started. She's the anti-Wonder Woman. She's judgmental and dictatorial, telling people how they've got to live their lives. And a superior religious self-righteousness … that's just not what Wonder Woman is about. Hillary Clinton is a lot more like Wonder Woman than Mrs. Palin. She did it all, didn't she?

No one has the right to dictate, particularly in this country, to force your own personal views upon the populace -- religious views. I think that is suppressive, oppressive, and anti-American. We are the loyal opposition. That's the whole point of this country: freedom of speech, personal rights, personal freedom. Nor would Wonder Woman be the person to tell people how to live their lives. Worry about your own life! Worry about your own family! Don't be telling me what I want to do with mine.

I like John McCain. But this woman -- it's anathema to me what she stands for. I think America should be very afraid. Very afraid. Separation of church and state is the one thing the creators of the Constitution did agree on -- that it wasn't to be a religious government. People should feel free to speak their minds about religion but not dictate it or put it into law.

Some fun facts passed on to me by a friend. Obamas and Palins contrasted.

* If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're

"exotic, different."

* Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, a quintessential American

story.

* If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

* Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick.

* Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.

* Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're well

grounded.

* If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the

first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter

registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as

a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator

representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the

state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the

United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while

sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and

Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any real

leadership experience.

* If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city

council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people,

20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then

you're qualified to become the country's second highest ranking

executive.

* If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising

2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real

Christian.

* If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your

disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a

Christian.

* If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including

the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

* If , while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no

other option in sex education in your state's school system while your

unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant , you're very responsible.

* If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a

prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city

community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's values

don't represent America's.

* If you're husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least one DWI

conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until

age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of

Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

OK, much clearer now.

Ollie,

I JUST finished watching that and was coming here to post it too. Holy fuckwad Batman, this is pathetic. She can't clearly discuss/answer anything. I can't WAIT for the VP debate. I can't wait to go to Penn State :)

Answers/examples of McCain successes on economic policy in his 26 years in Congress: "I'll try to find you some and bring 'em to ya"

Whoa ... now all of a sudden this is no longer available on the CBS website?!?!?!?

Holy shit. I don't have cable and often can't stream video here, but this video feed got through. This is one of my first viewings of this scientist since her armed entrance onto the political scene.

I had to stop about 30 seconds in to post that she's an idiot. It is unbelievable how uneducated this woman is when you consider the place she holds in the political arena right now, truly dumbfounding.

I asked President Karzai:

"Is that what you are seeking, also?

"That strategy that has worked in Iraq?

"That John McCain had pushed for?

"More troops?

"A counterinsurgency strategy?"

And he said, "Yes."

There's a bit of Bukowski-esque bluntness and rawness to it, but it contains in it also an important lesson -- that while gambling, drinking and womanizing might make for readable raw poetry, politics wants to be abstracted. :)

*shudder*

I feel as though I've just glanced down to discover that the tickle I felt was, in fact, a spider crawling up my leg.

"Now we all know Gov. Palin has a lot of foreign policy experience because from Alaska, she can see Russia. More to the point, Russia is on the other side of the international dateline from Alaska. It's tomorrow there. So when Palin looks at it, she's actually seeing the future."
