sam stone Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 are there any good, free, easy graphic programs that I can download to make simple posters, flyers, etc.any reccomendations?
RUSTLE Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 out of interest... what are the posters for? (i am a graphic designer).not sure if there are free trials for adobe illustrator but you may have the best luck with that? mind you, there will be a learning curve.
phishtaper Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 i just use powerpoint, but it's far from free ...
bradm Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 i just use powerpoint, but it's far from free ...I think Open Officehttp://www.openoffice.orgincludes a presentation package, and I think it's file-compatible with PowerPoint; it's also free.Aloha,Brad
bouche Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Just use crayons.I've seen some fantastic posters done by hand and then reproduced in colour. if it was me, I'd offer the graphic designer above $25 to do a poster.
phishtaper Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 ugh, OpenOffice ... the anti-Gates suite.
larry_llama Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 illustrator is $$$$ but inkscape is free and i find it to be awesome and really easy to pick up if you are a beginner.that's for drawing. for photo editing, you'll want the gimp .
bouche Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 (edited) you can download warez version of illustrator, photoshop, ms publisher, whatever you want is out there for free. Don't give these companies $800 just to make a couple of posters. Edited October 1, 2008 by Guest
Jay Funk Dawg Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 I've been using the photo editor in Photobucketit's free and you can do text on an image plus do some effects. It's limited but if it's a simple thing you are looking to get done then it's easy and free.
