Northern Wish
How awesome was the Tigers Twins game last night?!After 162 games they need one more to decide who goes to the post season; and that single game needs 3 extra innings to see a winner declared.Go Twins,S

Hal Johnson
Can't wait for the Cards-Dodgers. And, as much as I hate both teams, I kinda really want to see a Yankee-Red Sox semi.
peipunk
All the Twins won though was the privilege of getting the shit kicked out of them by the mighty Yankees. Sorry FBN, I took the liberty of amending your quote to be more accurate.Which brings me back from loving the baseball game last night to hating baseball because of things like the New York Yankees, where money buys you championships. When the Jays are winning, I am right back on the "love train". Hal Johnson
Man, can't believe the Dodgers lost game 4. Looking like it will be Yanks-Phills for the WS, which won't be horrible. Anyone notice that Ryan Howard has a Griffey-like swing? It sure is sweet.

Hal Johnson
Utley! Although his first homer is indicative of everything that's wrong with the HR fence at the new Yankee Stadium.

c-towns
I remember him saying last night that after Girardi came out to talk to the pitcher after the pitcher allowed the batter to get to first base that he must have told him not to worry about the runner and focus on the batter, very next sequence, the pitcher threw over to first checking the runner. Idiot.
Hal Johnson
I remember a couple of years ago (during the playoffs) Martinez was adamant that the pitcher needed to throw Damon a high, inside fastball. He repeated several times. The pitch was a high inside fastball, and Damon crushed it for a homerun.
Esau.
Philadelphia newspapers contain this Macy's ad for Phillies World Series Champs t-shirts, commemorating the Phillies winning back-to-back World Series championships. Unfortunately, the Phillies are currently down 3 games to 1, and are a longshot to win the 3 in a row that they need to win the series. I'm sure Phillies fans will love this in their morning paper. http://www.faniq.com/article/Macys-advertises
