peipunk Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 Re: The nfl.com playoff challenge:This looks like a neat little league, you pick a QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, a TE, a K and a Defense......but if the guys you pick win and go on to the next round, if you pick them again, they get a x2 multiplier. x3 the next week, and if you have someone right through to the Super Bowl, they pay x4.Make a log in at nfl.com and make a team....I made a public league called jambands.ca.
Northern Wish Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 Can you post the direct link to the league? I can't seem to find it.....

peipunk Posted January 8, 2010 Author Report Posted January 8, 2010 Thanks Sean! I can see next weekend being the decision week, either stick with a Wild Card winner (if you have any) or switch to a bye player to start building their multiplier.
Hal Johnson Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 Good stuff. In the process of picking my team now...
Kanada Kev Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 Which playoffs?? I hoping for these ones http://www.cavemancircus.com/galleries2/2009/12/lingerie_football_league_gallery/index.php WOOOOOOOHHHOOOOOOOOO!
peipunk Posted January 9, 2010 Author Report Posted January 9, 2010 Bump for hopefully more people joining the league.
Hal Johnson Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 (edited) Go Jets! Edited January 9, 2010 by Guest You'l never know, bwahahahaha!
ollie Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 Not the best time for Tom Brady to pull out his Drew Bledsoe imitation. I was having flashbacks to the human statue all game.
Hal Johnson Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) Sorry Ollie, know your a Pats fan and all, but wow!! I can't remember the last time I saw a game (in any sport) lost in literally the first 2 minutes. Unbelievable. Edited January 10, 2010 by Guest
Hal Johnson Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 btw, anyone know why the points I got yesterday decreased?
peipunk Posted January 11, 2010 Author Report Posted January 11, 2010 I am not sure what stats changed, but Jason Witten went down 4 or 6 points from yesterday. I have him too.As for the Green Bay-Arizona game....wow....justwow.I am still in shell shock at how awesome that game was. I love shootouts, I love Warner and Rodgers....Nothing like the highest scoring game in playoff history to satisfy a hunger for some offense.
ollie Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 Instant classic! I loved the symmetry of the game beginning and ending with turnover plays by Rodgers. Bit of a face mask on that sack though.Does Rackers get cut today?
peipunk Posted January 11, 2010 Author Report Posted January 11, 2010 I considered merging this thread into the juniors thread, but instead I just changed the title so it could be all things playoffs...Check out these numbers:Aaron Rodgers: 28 of 42, 422 yds, 4 TDsKurt Warner: 29 of 33 for 379 yds, 5 TDsWarner threw more TD passes than incomplete passes.Rodgers missed his chance when he overthrew Jennings on the first play of OT.Fuck that game was soooo good! I can't stop thinking about it.
Booche Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 That game was insane, even Douglas was getting into it at the end. I think there were only 2 punts?
Northern Wish Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 Without the little leg kick by Rodgers, the ball doesn't end up in the Cardinals hands- but I still think they were gonna lose....Unbelieveable. I love the NFL.
Whitey Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 That game was insane, even Douglas was getting into it at the end. I think there were only 2 punts? Yup, 2 punts. Wow!
Northern Wish Posted January 11, 2010 Report Posted January 11, 2010 Anyone care to make any predictions for the upcoming weekend?Bal @ IndNYJ @ SDDal @ MinArz @ NOBal 10 Ind 31NYJ 13 SD 24Dal 31 Min 28Arz 21 NO 42

peipunk Posted January 18, 2010 Author Report Posted January 18, 2010 With a tear, I bid farewell to the last weekend that was truly dominated by football...only two games next week means I don't have an excuse to bring my sleeping bag over to the Man Cave and get drunk for the whole weekend.I really didn't think the Jets had it in them! I don't think they will shut down the Colts though, their run ends here.New Orleans and Minnesota are back to mid season form! Should be a great shootout next weekend.Baltimore could have won that game, fumbles, interception, penalties....woulda, coulda shoulda...Waiting for nfl.com to update the leaderboard of the playoff challenge....
ollie Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 The Jets result was a surprise but it didn't totally shock me. I'm done cheering for the Chargers anyway -- haven't really liked them since Rivers took over. Guy is talented but I find him so unlikeable.I was disappointed the Cardinals didn't put up more of a fight but if they had to lose to anybody I'm glad it was the Saints.I'm happy with anyone but the Colts winning at this point, although my favourite is Minnesota.
