All told, there was about two and a half hours of music; it started early (just after 8:30pm) and ended early (about 11:45pm), even with a two-part encore. They played every tune on the new record (which I have, and which is great), but didn't play any Neil Young (or any other cover) tunes, which is (I think) the first time I've (not) seen that at a Sisters Euclid show.

Mark Lalama is fully on-board as a Euclidic Sister now. He's composed tunes for the band (incuding "Fellini Singalong"), mixed the new record, came out from behind the keys to sing one ("Eleven") and continually switched between his electronic keyboard, an accordion, and another squeezebox. The rest of the band looked pleased as punch to have him on stage with them.

They're embarking on a jazz festival tour this summer, including the Ottawa Jazz Fest on June 27.

Aloha,

Brad
