bouche
Anyone know if I can easily upgrade my trekstor external drive with another bigger drive? I naturally assume that this is possible, but it's also possible that they have special firmware in the enclosure that limits the possibilities. TheAlphaNerd
Most enclosures are nothing more than a sata to usb converter and a power supply... You should be able to buy a hard drive and just swap them YOU WILL have to format the hard drive before it will appear in windows though (or mac). bouche
thanks.i've done this before with other enclosures but the trekstor is being used right now but it's not big enough to continue backing up my mac. I was hoping someone has upgraded a trekstor before. Guess not.
