bradm Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Should you believe the hype? Can you handle the musical mania that will be the seamless set soiree featuring ferrishweeler and Dr. Huxtable? Or will it be a chaotic musical trainwreck? Whatever it is, I'll be there. Will you? Chime in, folks. Aloha, Brad
greasemonkey Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I'm already there man. I can't wait. The day just can't go fast enough.
Phred Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 My money is on Chaotic train wreck.... Phred
bouche Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I think that it's time I took my ears out to hear ferriswheeler.
Davey Boy 2.0 Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Hell, I'm already trying to talk people into 2 for 1 beers in Hull, which may or may not prepare my mind for Dekcuf festivities tonight-skis.
dave-O Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Exert from the ferriswheeler mailing list (Feb. 23): It's a little known fact that Ferris and The Hux share a ton of history together. In fact, at one point I believe that Egan (fw) and Geoff (dh) had a heated disagreement over a PA system at a keg party. What will happen when these two titans meet again over the pretense of a peaceful little music-blending? It could be bliss, it could be fodder for a new FOX series...
Kitari Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I'm there! I'M THERE!! Good god, I am so there! Tonight's frenzy has been the solitary thought that's got me through work this week! Kurisuta and Dana will also be joining the masses! Only 10 more hours to go!!!

Yeah... "Smith" is a pretty original last name too, bro. Ladies, ladies, please. Save it for a seemless set insult-slinging vocal jam later tonight.
Ms.Huxtable Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Nervous tension boyz? Just relax and enjoy yourselves. Tonight is going to be smokin'! I can hardly sit still today, I'm so excited.
dave-O Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I can hardly sit still either... ... but it may have something to do with the 6 cups of coffee I've consumed trying to keep myself awake while reading patents... freakin' day jobs, eh?! Why won't somebody pay me some decent coin to play my gui-tar??
bradm Posted February 27, 2003 Author Report Posted February 27, 2003 Hey, you guys could be big if you gave up on the "jam-me" stuff, changed your song format to be more radio-friendly, maybe hook up with a female lead singer, record an album whose songs all have vocals, and try to get a video on MuchMusic and MTV... Aloha, Brad
Hux Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 ((deeeeep breath)) ((deeeeep breath)) Ok, it's all good. Yes, the Masses will be in attendace tonight, father Jim Mass, wife Barbara, and the adorable Mass children, Cindy, and awww, lil' Tyler. Lovers of Phatty Jams, God & Country : The Mass family
Kitari Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 In other words, conform, conform, CONFORM!! Or you could try giving naked guitar lessons. I'd be much more apt to pick up an instrument if I could learn it from a naked man (or woman for that matter). I've really wanted to learn more about bongos......
Booche Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Your all a bunch of dumb asses anyways
dave-O Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Been there, done that. (good post though bradm... for those that know... and I'm not talling about naked guitar lessons... yet)
Hux Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 .....what a publicity whore you are Dave-O!!! It is true. Egan and I did lock-horns on one occasion over music being played through (my) PA while I may have overreacted, it was due wholly to a rare condition I have - Stingitis - I break out in hives if I hear any "music" by that "man" Sting. But seriously....what kinda of goof has "O" for a last name anyways..?!?! What is that Korean or something...?? "O"......pffftt.....
Booche Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 2 words? Dave Ooooh! You are the man Rahmer..............
Phred Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 I have 2 words: DancingFool Rocks!!! Had a blast last night. Thanks to all who came out.
Kitari Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 I had a great time y'all! You guys played fabulously - every last one of you seemed completely in tune with the others through the set blenders! Wish I could have stayed longer.
dancingfool Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 I just needed to let some steam out... This was highly helped by the competent crews on stage. Well done. I have 3 hours of sleep and a major deadline today. Or tonight. Could become tonight. But I slept well, what little I slept! Thank you all.
bradm Posted February 28, 2003 Author Report Posted February 28, 2003 Best "Independentland" ever... ... We're an American band Playing in American Idol land ... Halfway through ferriswheeler's first set, I started to get scared. They were hitting with a harder edge than I'd heard them; Cypress Hill? Midway through the first set?!? "Hang on," I said to myself. "It's gonna be a long night..." And to have the Fool of the Dance in the house! I think we need to genetically engineer a cross between Phred and dancingfool (dancingphred?)...I don't think it'd be able to play much, but it'd be a blast to watch... Thanks, guys. Aloha, Brad
Booche Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 Kitari was there? holy crap, I think I was wasted if I missed that
