bouche
On it's way to the House of Commons is copyright legislation that will make everybody a criminal for listening to music that they've purchased on their iPod.If this passes, your iPod will become fairgame for searches when crossing the border. I bring my iPod on every roadtrip. Imagine how confused a border agent would be when seeing all kinds of downloaded live music and trying to figure out if it is illegal or not? jaybone
I had dinner with my bro last Friday and he was pretty pumped up about this issue. Many new cars have built in hard drives- can you imagine the line-ups at the border if they go through everyone's hard-drives- many people have several- laptops, ipods, on-board computers etc.The "Big Brother" aspect to this is creepy. Hux
There have been some incidents of laptops being seized/copied at the border that some of the civil liberties groups in the US have picked up on...I think racial profiling may have been used in such cases as well.ipods - no idea.
