  3. happy birthday you dirty punk.
  4. it makes a very different dressing indeed. the other way around is 3 part oil to 1 part vinegar plus herbs and garlic and salt and pepper. the ratio I posted can be nice and sweet and it is less oily which many people prefer for diets. I ONLY make that type of dressing if berries or pomegranate juice (yes that makes a great dressing) are involved.
  5. ZZ TOP And Toyota Tundra presents BROOKS & DUNN With special guest RODNEY ATKINS SUNDAY, AUGUST 24 , 2008THE MOLSON AMPHITHEATRE - TORONTO for real!
  6. so sorry to read this. hopefully you can bring cheer to her as much as possible. smiles and laughter are very powerful.
  7. How could I not share this link that I accidentally clicked on?
  8. oh, I thought the raffle ticket was part of the entry fee.
  9. here's a great ratio (tipped from chef Michael Smith) if you have berries and things on hand. 1 part oil 3 parts everything else If I want a batch for a couple of nights of salads, I'll take 2 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp blueberries, 2 tbsp balsamic, 2 tbsp honey and throw it in the food processor or blender. This will give you a deliciously sweet and fruity emulsion for your salad veggies. Try different berries, oils, vinegars, or even toss in a mustard instead of the berries. Make sure you drop in a pinch of salt, mix and taste until you got it just right. That is my favourite dressing.
  10. here's the best new band that I've seen. The Mathemeticians. We saw them in burlington at Nectar's the night after SMMD. (notice how the drummer looks like Jason Pottie
  11. or rather Blind Faith. now THAT would be super awesome since the boys are on good playing and talking terms.

The festival will span 11 days, from July 3 to July 13 and feature multiple stages in a number of locations at LeBreton Flats Park and the Canadian War Museum. The Bluesfest site will again feature two stages on the NCC grounds in front of the Canadian War Museum, with four other outdoor stages bordered by the Ottawa River and the War Museum. Additional performances will also be staged in the Barney Danson Theatre inside the War Museum. With the close proximity of the Booth Street transit way , which is a hub for bus transportation, the many bike paths that lead to this area, and vacant neighbourhood parking lots (due to the festival’s evening and weekend schedule) getting to this year’s event should be green and easy. 2008 BLUESFEST STAGES This year’s festival site in downtown Ottawa brings with it a few changes, including the addition of a new ROOTS Stage: The Bank of America Stage (formerly the MBNA Stage)will be located in the heart of the festival site at LeBreton Flats and feature internationally renowned headliners. The Rogers Stage will feature such an impressive array of performers that it could be considered a festival unto itself. Within view of the Bank of America Stage, the Rogers Stage will share a capacity of 30,000—crowd-surfing, anyone? The Blacksheep Stage - Offering an eclectic combination of music including: blues, funk, indie, pop, rock, world and more! The River Stage - Located on the west side of the festival site, this stage will offer something for everyone—from punk to funk, indie to rock and so much more, there’ll be a whole lot of shakin’ goin’ on! The Roots Stage - Festival organizers will introduce a major new stage in 2008, featuring a broad range of “Roots” music performed by world-renown artists . . . and some of the best Gospel acts on the planet! Come and enjoy!
  18. I don't know why they can't handle the visits. there can't be that many people trying to access the site. They're probably doing really cheap shared hosting.
  19. Brian Wilson... is that the biggest act there?
  20. good job dave. nice formatting. is that what they call a semi-colon separating the artists?

you only need to really flick it to hold and unhold once.
  22. it was a weird season. There was so much cylon focus early on, and then nothing later. I don't remember anything about the FINAL 5 before season 3 ever mentioned.
  23. Bluegrassy High July 7th FTW!
  24. If you saw the end of season 3 Battlestar Galactica but no more (no razor and no season 4) then this thread is for YOU. I'm curious on what everyone thought of the finale and any theories related.
