  1. I can think of two different ways to interpret that... Aloha' date=' Brad[/quote'] Out of the two options, choose the better one.

    For the moe.rons

haha... fuck - cuteness haunts me. I dont want to be cute. "I am the enemy!" Anyone remember where that's from?
  3. An interesting conversation with Rob about moe's crazy 2006, The Conch and mentoring bands in 'the scene.' '>The Year of The Conch
  4. For a moment there LJFH I was concerned you were moving... whew!
  5. Although, some interesting criticisms of Steiner's philosophy... http://www.religionnewsblog.com/1213/gnomes-and-critics-at-waldorf-schools These are the Ottawa schools. I've never encountered any of the above concerns at these schools. http://www.magma.ca/~parsifal/ http://www.waldorf.cyberus.ca/index.html
  6. I am fascinated by Steiner - mostly his thoughts on child development and education. We have two waldorf schools in Ottawa, one had a biodynamic farm as well. We're hoping to send Aslan there if he's interested. But its bloody expensive. Just under 10 grand a year. Wonderful wonderful programs with a focus on a connection to the earth and seasons, strong music and art focus, but very inclusive, non-compartmentalized programs.

    I GOT THE JOB!

Sounds like a great job Cully. I used to work camps all the time, one of the best times in my life. Good luck!
  9. Very cool you guys. Especially since we have a killer week for music happening!
  10. Things that piss me off... littering, carving on trees, self-righteousness, speeders (the crawly insects), being hungry or cold, nero in the morning...
  11. Actually yeah, I noticed that Stonemtn... he was going to get back to you. But since that was the exception, it would have lost the impact to have included (except for Stonemtn etc etc) I'm with you. No matter how hard-assed one is, its easy to be at least a little bit pro-PETA. You've got to admire their intentions.
  12. This threads hilarious I started it just as a FYI - warning expecting it to disappear into oblivion pretty quickly. So we have the super sincere folks and the cynical 'fuck PETA' types all totally ignoring each other's comments. IMO - I take what PETA says with a grain of salt knowing they can be over-zealous. BUT - I wont buy food from IAMs because they do still test on dogs, but have hey, goodie they've improved their living conditions. Thats not good enough. Plus its a good reminder to look into where stuff - even dog food - comes from rather than only looking at the price...(which this cheapo has a tendency to do.)
  13. Actually, we dont yet have a pet food forum... Bouche?
  14. I recently came across this website put together by PETA www.iamscruelty.com Those lovely Iams commercials with the happy goldern retriever running through the grass are totally decieving. Iams tests all their products on animals and obviously its not the unoffending end product of their packaged food. At the very least Iams keeps dogs caged in terrible conditions for their life-time, and at the worst dogs have been killed, injured and allowed to suffer in order to monitor the effects of Iams products. Take a look at the PETA website www.iamscruelty.com if you do feed Iams and if you'd like to see the evidence for yourself. I've fed Iams before.
  15. Have you guys read the Crosby interview in the latest Relix? It includes his feelings on wanting to relive the Byrds, this thoughts on George Bush (he calls him a hood ornament) and his hope to tour with Young again for the 2008 election. Very very interesting. I think Relix is getting better and better.
  16. That had me laughing out loud "Sorry sis, I think I drank your contacts..." As for me. Well, nothing happened. Sooo... Maybe she's stuck, maybe she's gone. Who knows? Oh well. Guess I better go buy some glasses.
  17. Interesting eye facts there Alexis So nothing yet... my eye kind of aches, but I dont know if thats because I stuck my fingers in it a bit too much. Guess I'll just wait and see...
  18. You mean the daily kind? They stay in your eye better? Sorry about the grossness guys, but this is nothing...My younger sister was born without a tearduct. She had a pyrex glass tearduct put into her eye when she was a toddler. She can suck air in and out of it. Now thats gross!
  19. Thanks for responding guys. Thats reassuring. So if its stuck, it will work itself out. No need to go to the eye guy? My eyes are most often dry since I started wearing them, I was hoping they'd adapt. But maybe thats why it fell out easily, if it did.
  20. So I've only been wearing contacts for about two weeks but something happened tonight that totally freaked me out. I put my contacts in this afternoon, then suddenly this evening I realise that one isn't in. I vaguely recall rubbing my eyes. But it was the slight fogginess, misbalance that made me check and yup... its gone! A friend mentioned that contacts can slip behind the eyeball. If that happened would I be able to feel it? Is it possible it just fell out when I rubbed my eyes? I'm really hoping this has happened to someone before. I'm scared of damaging my eye.
