I don't mean that any and all awareness is bad. It's a bit of a pandora's box. It's tough to make a difference with 'don't buy gas day' but I support people are trying. I am calling bullshit on this specific thing though, not awareness is general. I hope people are aware of that. zing.

awareness is often an excuse for people as well to spread it whilst actually spreading nothing. I see this example as a really lax form of awareness, one that does nothing but preach to a disillusioned choir without making any difference whatsoever.

I'm not against creating awareness.. I'm simply against the theme of 'don't buy gas tuesday.' The people who do this will buy it wed, thr and so on, therefore making themselves feel better about not doing anything. this is not directed to you MOBE. just a general argument.

so ridiculous. don't buy gas on one day and it will change the world. it's like 'no TV day' or 'no shopping day.' It feels like a quick fix, a way for protestors to feel good about themselves while actually never changing anything. I am not personally attacking anyone.. Just my own opinion. How bout 'don't drive at all and take public transit instead year.' That seems a bit more at the heart of bringing about change. God I'm cynical. ah well. plus, plus.. without gas, none of us would survive. I agree and hope one day we can use alternative fuels and cut down on oil, as oil is horrible, but again, one day does nothing but save the soul of the perpetrator.

I also hate people who say 'you know what I'm sayin' after every line. OF COURSE I know what you are saying. I would ask otherwise. bullshit.

The saying 'be that as it may.' What the hell does that mean? Really? I call bullshit.. anyone else?

I just hope Luke gets what he needs, be it talking to someone or going for more help... He's a good friend and a good guy.
