  1. If it follows the sched of previous shows: Randolph: 730-815 Break: 815-845 EC: 845-1100 Can you make it to the Amph in around a 45min trip?
  2. *cough* ((((((you are feeling "sick"))))))) *cough* EC heals!
  3. I think that a smaller festival stage, club, or church would be the ideal place to catch Randolph. Sacred Steel is really powerful and I just don't find it works as well in larger settings. Have you seen the first Bonarroo DVD? No Randolph but another killer gospel/sacred steel group rips it up in one of the tent stages. Can't miss Slowhand though.
  4. I remember that the last time I saw him I was not nearly as impressed as those first couple of gigs I saw him at. It was the same thing, and not as good. I've passed on his last couple of trips through town. I can't see him translating well in a big amphitheater as an opener though. We may even hold off going in until closer to EC's start I betcha anyone who goes down tonight gets in on the cheap for sure! Read some very positive reviews of his opening few shows on this tour. He's playing for around 2hrs20mins!!! Take a read and you might think about heading down tonight: http://www.whereseric.com/tour/ Here's the last couple of setlists too: 22 May 2008 3rd Show - Summer Tour PNC Bank Arts Center Holmdel, NJ EC Band Lineup: Eric Clapton - guitar, vocals Doyle Bramhall II - guitar, backing vocals Chris Stainton - keyboards Pino Palladino - bass Ian Thomas - drums Michelle John - backing vocals Sharon White - backing vocals Setlist: 01. 5. Anyone going? Robert Randolph is opening. I'm going to be on the grass and trying to stay warm (it's a little nippy out today compared to yesterday).
  6. I'm sure they will. When I get the official announcement I will forward the details and who to email to get on the list ASAP. Would be fun to have some skanks there Now, it would be for the seat filler role at the theater where they do the awards. The after show party (which was mind-boggling last year) is a whole other story and seat fillers don't get in (without using covert methods )
  7. Yup, just got home from a big shindig at the CBC tonight (free booze, food, and Alex Trebeck). Fuck this series is looking like shit now. Unless the Pens turn this around and take two at home, it's over. Bummer. Oh well, got some pics with Lord Stanley's Cup tonight and I've still gotta get up at 6am. GRRRRRR. I lined up another year of being able to attend the NHL awards though (and the most kickass after party around ) so it's all good Cheers,
  8. the Double-Tree is on the Priceline list.
  9. Mark, That Marriott looks really good and is damn close to the shuttle. Would seem to me to be the way to do since there's no parking at the venue (lots at the college). Here is another hotel very close to the college as well. Looks like it's "sold out" right now though Double-Tree 1111 Jefferson Road, Rochester, New York, United States 14623 http://doubletree1.hilton.com/en_US/dt/hotel/ROCDTDT-Doubletree-Hotel-Rochester-New-York/index.do and this one is "right across the street" from the college: Hampton Inn Rochester/South 717 East Henrietta Rd, Rochester, New York, USA 14623 Tel: +1-585-272-7800 Fax: +1-585-272-1211 http://www.google.ca/search?q=717+East+Henrietta+Rd%2C+Rochester%2C+New+York&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
  10. Schwa. great pic! The pics I could find a while back were all from spring or fall times. Just picture the place in full bloom. Nothing like killer tunes in a more "natural" outdoor setting (no rain no rain no rain) http://jambands.ca/sanctuary/showtopic.php?tid/246103/fromsearch/1/hl/rochester/tp/0/all/1/
  11. damn, the version of Knockin' on this is yucky

  14. I enjoyed watching the game. Osgood was OsGOOD. Pitts had their chances, but Detroit just looked so much more "comfortable" and prepared out there. They were knocking the Pens off the puck wayy too easily. Betcha we see Roberts back in the lineup tonight. Get a little spark into them before they head back to Pittsburgh. Yup, just read this on yahoosports: http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=AvPnTwrj7hMlObnY1j83Lj57vLYF?slug=rm-cupgametwoadvance052508&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
  15. RIGHT ON! Haven't missed a Toronto JBT show yet. GREAT TIMES.
  16. LOL ... wasn't me who found Zetterberg's squeeze, it was MattyC (great job too! ) I'm saying Pittsburgh in 7
  17. Fourth show added in Toronto on JUNE 9th. Tix on sale SATURDAY: http://www.ticketmaster.ca/event/10004067CD87BF67?brand=aeglive
  18. Man, I really don't watch music videos at all other than concert vids. HOwever, I took a look at this one after it's gotten killer response on Digg. It's a ton of fun and incorporates a shitload of internet "celebs"
