What a colossal disappointment! It was just a mish-mash of violence and gossip with no underlying theme. It was formulaic and riddled with cliches. There wasn't an original idea or artistic expression to be found. I was really looking forward to watching this movie but I couldn't even get all the way through it. Once the captain started bringing out the torture devices I had to turn it off. The story was going nowhere and I've seen enough gore to last the rest of my life.

Totally agree on the Clockwork Orange! Okay, the part in that movie, where Alex is being led in to prison with the guards an he imitates the kick that the military does is one of the funniest things I've ever seen on film. It's just so absurd, and shows so much spirit in the face of adversity, Alex is a rebel to the fuckfuckin' core and I love it!

In 'Good Morning Vietnam' when Louis Armstrong's 'What a Wonderful World' plays during the montage showing some of the disturbing violence and injustice of the Vietnam war always makes me cry, even just hearing that song makes me really think about history and politics and how my actions can effect someone on the other side of the world.

Great, but I fly to Montreal tomorrow. I'm excited to go to Montreal, but I don't want to leave Florida. I'm conflicted. I really like surfing and the people I met down here. Daytona kicks ass. But I've never really been to Montreal, so that should be fun too. I get a few days there, then either home to Ontario or on to Laconia NH for a bike rally. I'd like to go home to see everyone, but I kinda want to go to another bike rally and see a new state, too. Again, I'm conflicted.

What do you have against Ottawa? It's a pretty cool place!
