  1. Ah, this is making me go through some old pictures.
  2. Haha, nice work. I actually felt bad pulling out that pic yet again, you got me back pretty good so I think I'll put it away for a while. Here's a quickie:
  3. Screw you quiet Friday afternoon: (this is meant light-heartedly, of course)
  4. Why don't we have a Skank thread of these? I consider myself an internet noob for only finding this site today (its too hot to work): Parody Motivator Generator ...but I know other people must have been on the case before me. Lets see some Skank-personal gems. I'll start with one.
  5. Call me a doubter....I think they are just high on musical perfection!
  6. Here's an article from cnnsi.com that rips Ricciardi to SHREDS: When it comes to bad contracts, Jays' Ricciardi is hard to beat
  7. My buddy Geoff I was at the Gorge with put 2 tickets for each night on the fence on the way in....he didn't bother trying to get anything. There was definitely a surplus of tickets there, the most I heard a ticket going for was $10.
  8. Well, I am in the Detroit airport waiting for my flight home. The weekend was absolutely amazing. I have to say I thought the second night was far superior but I will write more when I get home.
  9. it is better to be occasionally jinxed than perpetually hungry
  10. I tried to warn Schwa about the jinx....the results are plain for all to see.
  11. BTW, I feel bad Birdy that you don't have any of the other U2 haters backing you up today.
  12. I must say, wow Roller, you really take it hard around here. I admire your resilience.
  13. That's a good response...I was kind of expecting New Rider and maybe a few more people come out swinging. Ouch, I get burned on this one, I have for SURE been all hot and bothered about things that fizzled into nothing. Buuut feel a lot differently about a lot of things that people write off....the prime examples for me are Santana and Aerosmith. Sure, what they do now is absolutely sell out atrocious. BUT I don't feel that it "erases" their previous accomplishments. I don't care what anybody says, the term "Classic Rock" has a picture of Toys in the Attic beside it, and Santana has some amazing albums and is the absolute coolest shit ever in the Woodstock movie..... As far as that goes, although I don't feel like U2's newest couple albums are "trailblazing" I think most of their earlier albums were; enough to get a lifetime of respect from me. As I don't follow/trust any news stories of this type, I can't say much. If it was personal to me I could comment more I guess, as it is I can't condone or condemn.
  14. Out of many, many opportunites on this board to chime in on U2 bashing, I picked here (sorry Birdy, haha). If its subjective you should just say "I don't like what they do" instead of "what they do sucks". Honestly, I find it to be one of the strangest things to hear people who like music say they don't like U2. I absolutely cannot fathom what there is to dislike other than a few scattered songs over the years. They have creatively reinvented themselves SO many times(I personally find that the most fascinating thing about them), and the production level of both their albums and their live act has always been a global standard that is as awe inspiring as their amazingly well written songs and perfection in their performances. Wow, did I really just write that? Sorry to stir the pot!
  15. As much as I appreciate the sentiment Greg, unfortunately I don't dare turn my sound on at work...I'll have to save that for evening entertainment! Living in Ontario=playing in nero=
  16. ...everywhere else but PEI today? I am just realizing this now. I can't call my suppliers, and I don't have the usual amount of sanctuary activity to amuse me at work. I guess I'll have to try to busy myself....by doing work.
  17. I will certainly miss watching Scott Rolen!

  19. I got that setlist with notes from the phish.com/ontheroad page, but I also read on phish.net that Billy was up for the YEM jam. Interesting to say the least! What an amazing run of shows. The amount of interest I have had in this has made me feel like I am 10 years younger.

  21. Yessir, I am partial to the Curtain too, its the first post reunion version of each of those 3 songs. After listening, I thought the Guyute was ultra flubtastic (but who cares about that song anyway) and I thought the Antelope was awesome. I hear that! Except that its a reminder for me that I will be seeing this shit at the Gorge next weekend, hehe.
