  1. Stephen Beckta is opening a new restaurant at 1 York Street that will feature home-cured cheeses and charcuterie will be on the first floor, and the rest of the restaurant will be on the second. You might be thinking of Moonroom though. It's opening late this month on Preston Street. For more details on both, check out Ron Eade's blog . A very good source of info for Ottawa Food-things.

    Quebec City

Le Massif is great. Schwa - there's a dude that runs a rental housing business called hebergement-charlevoix and you can get really nice accomodation right near the hill for super super cheap. Same goes for summer, but you'd be a bit north of Quebec City. Last winter, the weekend of the giant storm, we went to Le Massif and Ste-Anne. It was epic. Le Massif is my new favourite hill (in the east). Amazing runs and not crowded at all. Killer view. Baie St Paul (the town just north of Le Massif) is a really nice little town, great restaurants, scenic) - touristy but still quebecois.

    Telus

i thought only people with pay-as-you-go were going to be charged for incoming text messages on Bell and Telus. Those with plans were unaffected. That's my understanding. http://www.telusmobility.com/text_messaging/index.shtml

    Telus

Anyone have major beefs with Telus' customer service or call quality?
  15. There will be some tickets released tomorrow (Friday) afternoon around 4pm at Ticketmaster, according to Joe Reilly on the CBC this morning.
  16. I thought it was hilarious. It's not the Rush show, although Colbert did talk about them throughout the half hour, as well as interview them. Not sure what you were expecting from a half hour (22 minute) comedy show.
  17. sweet dig at Harper on Colbert tonight too. Funny show so far. Lots of Rush gags.
  18. consider me 8 albums trapped then. where is the list for the first half of the alphabet?
  19. Please ask Al Gore.
