it's not hate - it's a roast. a good natured ribbing where people get made fun of, the comedy central ones have been hilarious and pretty dark. it's all in good fun.

I can't wait for the weekend of August 8 and 9, is anyone else here going? they (probably) weren't planning on playing all night, and i doubt their goal was to shut down Hillside forever. Sounds like they were enjoying playing music for the audience at the music festival. oh well. did they play well? how was their performance up until the curfew time?

the neighbours at guelph lake are the campers, who were largely there for the festival and wouldn't likely be sleeping anyways since the show would have just been ending. oh well. i wasn't there so maybe there's more to the story than was reported here.

once a year there's a new 'i love ray lamontagne' thread. (and i bet if you search that it would actually be true). his recorded career peaked in 2004 with 'trouble.' his stuff after that has been considerably weaker. but that Trouble album is completely solid. mike, i'm sure you must have heard his songs before if you watch Rescue Me.

i still have my juice pigs cds. the cbc radio show 'simply sean' is in repeats for the summer, saturday mornings at 10. great stuff definitely rooting for cullen, but he's a longshot to win this competition.

He was a super nice guy in real life too. We didn't hang out, but we talked sports usually about once a week when i lived next to him on the stoop over a beer. He knew more about more sports and sports people than anyone I've met since. And I barely barely knew him.

He used to be my next-door neighbour when I lived on Sunnyside. We got lots of Sens freebies from him. He always had hot girlfriends too. Hope he gets better, really nice guy.

I think the dude (Adam I think his name was?) ran out of his overstock and didn't replenish. Not much of a market for old Ottawa show posters. Although I do remember he stopped selling all his show posters at the same time. Hmmm I have 5 of his posters framed in my apartment. Wilco, BSS, Plaskett, Feist, and someone else I can't remember. I also have 2 sweet framed posters by Doublenaut - Flaming Lips / Wolfmother in Toronto and Weakerthans / Constantines in Ottawa. They are bigger, more colourful and much better quality than the Coffeeandtoast posters.
