  6. it's boring and sterile. have you heard the original arrangement?
  7. i've seen em 4 or 5 times, in clubs, at festivals and opening for larger acts... they're at their best when in a small sweaty club right next to the crowd. definitely a good live show. Magic Potion is their latest album, as good as Rubber Factory, i wouldn't say better or worse.. just more of the same excellent rock and roll.
  8. blech. they ruined that song. it used to be really pretty.
  9. And in other book news I believe Farley Mowat is reading from his new book at 6 pm tonight at Indigo in Barrhaven
  10. Dave Bidini will be on CBC Radio One Ottawa sometime between now at 5:30 to talk about his new book
  11. I'm confused. Happy end of Geography Awareness Week!
  12. Ah yes, and for the record I didn't write uneducated with a negative connotation... =) Ahhh Pianosaurus Rex... Great stuff. The Acorn are playing tonight at the Black Sheep. AD
  13. My project for Patterson's class was cost-path analysis. If I had the tools I could whip that up for you no problem! What you need is some lightweight logistics software. But you're smart, you can figure this stuff out!!
  14. I'd argue that your statement seems uneducated... There are dozens of fantastic Ottawa bands... Many of them don't get talked of much on here, everyone is too busy talking about BNB or nero... Relief Maps, the Soiree, Jetplanes of Abraham, Acres, M$M, Department of Foreign Affairs, the Acorn, Double Pumpers, Ukrainia, Reverb Syndicate, Hilotrons, Soft Disaster, Empiricals, Weapons of Mass Seduction, Black Boot Trio, Fiftymen, Golden Famile, Poorfolk, My Dad vs Yours, Crush Buildings, many many more plus all the punk and hardcore bands. Ottawa has an awesome scene, IMO. I can go see good bands most nights of every week. (Although it gets difficult in the fall / winter due to hibernation) AD
  15. Damn right. (as we bow down to geodesists, mathematicians, surveyors, programmers.....)
