  1. Saw it and loved it.

If anyone is going to see it, could you try and remember the name of the artist who does all of the creepy Ronald and Golden Arch paintings throughout? He gets interviewed somewhere in the last third.

  2. For this one, I gotta vote in the first few rounds for the one's I've listened to the least. Hands down, it's Round Room.

Save the Siket Disc! It's one of the most interesting and creative things they've produced (of course, I'm a fan of 4th set at Oswego too)

  3. see my 5 disc rotation recently.

Iron and Wine is blowing me away. Both albums have their merit. I've found a whole wack of really good soulful stuff lately inclduing Sun Kil Moon and Sufjan Stevens.

Haven't tried out Calexico yet....maybe today.

  4. I liked high school so much, I never left. I'm writing this from one right now.

My high school years were really good. I had, however, developed a big fish/little pond complex and by the time I was done first year university, my ego had to be dealt with and I rehauled to core of my personality to discover the inner hippie.

And now I try to teach others how to do the same!

  5. Back to the heroin thing for a sec. Early Skanks will remember myself and Treytor's running banter about Trey's coke habit (for me, Rochester 99 was the clicher on that)but I've also sort of kept an eye on the sleaves for track marks. I KNOW this isn't the only way to ingest but it just doesn't seem consistant with what I've always believed Trey's problem to be which is a massive chemical addiction to the chach.

Lately I know he hadn't been traveling with the band on tour (see some interview he did for more on that) Was it because he was trying to kick or trying to hide? Was touring with "reformed" Dave Matthews a good idea?

And for that matter, has anyone else suspected that Page may be a wicked alcholic? I dunno, just a sense I get from the way he looks, acts and based on the lower calibre of his playing lately, his music.

In the end, I've just got an obsession with tragic rock stories (the last good one I read was The Dirt: The Motley Crue Story)I think Kung said it, Brad Sand's book "The Not So Friendly Helping Book" will be on shelves in 5 years, tops.

  6. Hey all,

Something was mentioned on the Survivor thread (not negatively, I realize) and it got me thinking about my posting habits lately. Compared to how often I used to post, I really just read up and pipe up whenever I need to. This is, after all, my home page . So what is the definition of a lurker? I may be becoming one. I am quite busy these days. I also don't find as much interaction and interesting topics going on as their used to be (not to say that there isn't any) It seems everytime I think of posting it's something that I think to myself "this is useless". Christ, maybe I'm still intimidated by the new format.

Lurkers, semi-lurkers and full on respondants, what do you think?
