Wow, there really is no love for www.jamhub.ca over here is there? This was posted on the hub about a week ago and there was much discussion surrounding it. HJAB does awesome every year. Last year they had Little Feat headline one night! S ps. If you've never been its a great smaller festival in a beautiful town.

Can I come?

I should note that I am 6ft, and am usually 'green'- so I am very conscious of not impacting someone elses enjoyment of the show. I am the first one to seek out a spot right at the back where I can be a minimal intrusion into anyone's event. Infact I would always take one of the worst vantage points in the venue, if I can boogie a little and not upset anyone. At Massey we spotted the back row in the first balcony (Martin side) where a couple of people were dancing around, kicked it up there, traded tickets (really good ones too) and spent our show out of our seats. Both me and my buddy were more than happy to make that concession as he is 6ft too, and was also not interested in sitting down.

I can't wait until I get to see some of this stuff!

I had to go up in the balcony and trade my tickets with a couple so that me and my buddy could move around even a little. When its a rock show, I like to rock. If its jazz, I can stand and tap my feet. If I want to sit still, I would just stay home. I hate sit down shows, and Massey Hall seems to love them........... S

Ok you are right that sounded bad. These guys are awesome and I would go see them anywhere- but what I meant was everyone should go so that one band comes out of there with something positive to say about the city and then maybe someone sometime will play there again.

Too late. I was looking for a pair when I was in TO for the weekend, but alas I am now back in New Brunswick. And you are right, its going to be a killer show! Sean

After the show on the way out to Now Lounge from a hotel break, I walked back by Massey and noticed Wendel Clark sitting in the lobby along side the guitar cases. So of course I walked right in, no one around, right into the hall and stared up at the empty silent stage and upwards to the lit chandelier. It is a beautiful room and it was a powerful event- and it moved me.

Well put AD, I figure that Thursday was the SHOW and Friday was the EVENT.... Glad I caught both. And yes sad. Looking at that flickr slideshow, the smiles are really tearing me up. Why? Why Tim Why?

Its similiar to a pop up I get at work when I have taken my work laptop home, leave it on and then plug into my network- since I am already logged on to the confuser it makes me enter my network name and password. Its basically a prompt screen for a user name and password. I'll screen shot it when I get it again. S

C+P during Horses was huge. It topped off our (Guigsy and I) Talking Heads in Toronto Day. The posters from the show are amazing! S

Maybe you know this too Greg, but what is Charlie Sexton's relationship with Canadian music if any? I see that he is the producer and even plays on a few tunes of the new Peter Elkas album (featuring Jeff and Gavin from BNB). Just wondering.

That is great news. I saw him on keys in the fall and it was good, but you couldn't really hear him in the mix. At least now, you know you'll see the Dylan you were expecting, even if it sounds way different. What was the reason for dropping the guitar? Medical reasons I presume?
