  5. Great link thanks AD. I downloaded a bunch of live tracks, and they are good. Not epic, but not sloppy either. Good band, good live show? You tell us........ Sean

  7. Also check tweakxp.com for loads of other fixes to help your computer run quickly on XP.
  8. I liked it when I first got it, before I realized it was a similar situation to 'normal' radio. Sure they play bands that don't get played on Clear Channel, but the artists are limited in scope. Jam On plays Railroad Earth, Tea Leaf Green, bad Grateful Dead mp3's, and the same Live Phish tracks over and over again (10.31.96 Simple anyone?). To get variety you really need to scan your favorite stations all the time, which is fairly easy. I love Left of Center (indie rock), Margaritaville (buffet), Stern, Raw Dog, Disorder, The Edge and Spectrum. I did enjoy the live concerts, but only in passing- I never sat and listened to a whole show. I did however find myself surprised by how much I liked the talk radio/ sports and comedy for long road trips. I wish I could sign up for a month at a time when I knew I would be travelling. Or find three buddies to split the cost and radio with. I have let my one year subscription pass (be careful if you ordered with a credit card, they automatically renew your subscription if you don't tell them otherwise!) but may search for a good deal and sign up for a few months over the summer. Verdict: Less known bands, played as often as regular radio Great special broadcasts All of your NHL, NFL for travelling Great comedy stations If you travel in your car more than one hour a day, its worth it. If you don't, it isn't. I have a receiver for sale if anyone wants it.... Sean
  9. Love em! I tried to get tickets to the CWK/ Tokyo Police Club show in TO, but it looks sold out. Anyone got one extra? Sean
  10. I love the Kings. I cannot wait for this sucker to come out. Since you now have the know how, NR- how about an upload? Loved the Dino Jr. Thank you, Sean
  11. I did the same thing at Evolve 2005. Got pretty spun on the Saturday night and "woke up" (came to) on Sunday with three friends desperately wanting to head out and get Egg McMuffins before 11. Needless to say I was on board, but wasn't really sure where I had packed the keys. Long story short, my buddy recalls giving me the keys the night before when he came back from a nap in the rental truck (which was rented through my work account and was not supposed to leave New Brunswick, and we were in Nova Scotia). I had no recollection of this, but figured if I knew myself at all- I had attached them to my belt with the beener. It took me about 20 minutes to cover the festival grounds goiing from 'pee spot' to 'pee spot' trying to recall all of my relief points from the night before. When I came upon site #4, I remembered Melissa from Wassabi laying on the grass talking to me while I wizzed. Sure enough the keys were sitting right in the still glistening grass! Crisis averted, but we did not make it McD's in time for breakfast. I ate a Quarter Pounder with Cheese and passed out until we got back to Moncton. Also the same Evolve that my friend performed the heimlich manuever on Farley and saved him from the worst......... Sean
  12. Check, check and check. Great work and congrats Greg....... Are you going to sign up for the new Reality Show looking for a director to work with Spielberg and Burnett? I think its a million dollar deal. You would do so well on reality tv too!
  13. I am having a hard time coming up with reasons I won't be there, even though there are 100's of reasons I shouldn't even consider it. S
  14. That pretty much puts me in the Roo in June. Awesome lineup. Manu Chao, The Slip, Wilco, The Lips, Police, Tool alone make the ticket price worth it. Does anyone doubt that the White Stripes are really playing? I though Jack was locked in with the Raconteurs right now, and hadn't played with Meg in about a year.... S ps. Punk want to come along?
  15. Thanks for that BradM. Anyone care to comment on the tribute album? I for one hate half of the songs and love half. My favorite is Hornsby, Panic and believe it or not Womack. The Stage Fright and Life is a Carnival are painful. Overall, I'd give it an 8 if they hadn't ripped me off of four songs (see other countries import versions): 7/10.
  16. I had a friend in high school that was madly in love with Noah Mintz, which inevitably led to many many many nights seeing hHead at the Hideaway and sneaking out the back door for smokes with them after the show. This evolved into Sharon hosting hHead for supper every time they played in town (this was before I opened my Saint John musician hostel). Over the years I never got inside Brendans head, but I sure as hell felt like I knew him pretty well. To this day everytime I see him laying it down, I can close my eyes and picture him 16 years younger eating mousakka in St Catharines with my friends and I. Sean
  17. He is also Alanis Morrisette's drummer non?
  18. Absolutely shredding right now. AWESOME! "We're like a jamband right now. Even Sting. We are on stage without a setlist!" SC
  19. If Funeral was 9.8, I'd give Neon Bible at least a 9.2............ Fuck Pitchfork! Sean

  21. Once again sir, thank you...... And yes they are working, but like Guigsy said: its easier to zip the whole thing and just upload that one file. S

  23. Sendspace? I for one can't wait for this disc. It'll certainly bring me back to long hair, docs and 1993 around T.O. The set at Osheaga this summer was great. Sean
  24. Great site for other stuff too, if you check all of the links down the right hand side. Someone should tell Blane that they have a copy of his Wilco 05 recording posted up there.... Sean
  25. Boooo to Future Shop!!! I went across town in the bitter cold to pick this up on Tuesday since it was in their NATIONAL FLYER. Not one copy in the store. None on order, none were shipped to them. Head office in Burnaby definitely heard from me. Seriously, does anyone else out there hate the Future Shop like I do? AD, got a sspace link for the bonus? Sean
