  1. I think they are worth $10 easily......... Maybe even $12. Sean
  2. The building has been shut down by the fire marshall for improvements- and the bar has announced the shows will be cancelled. Too much up in the air, to be putting on a big $ show. Sorry to bear this bad news, Sean
  3. Sold out or not on sale yet? The site gives no info except that tickets are not available.
  4. Thats doo doo! ..::Wags Finger::..
  5. My first Ottawa Jazz Fest and I get to witness my first Bill Frisell show. Hot damn, what a summer........ Sean
  6. Is Rahmer going to play from behind the curtains?
  7. Hell Yeah! Even if they play Ottawa, what are these guys like as far as changing up the sets? I can't really think of two reasons (one would be The Slip) not to see three shows.......... Sean
  8. With all of the love in the world....... Happy Birthday Lil King! Sean
  9. Yes I can get to Guelph! Lets talk buddy.......... Sean
  10. Yes its standard festival fare, if you count this as the ultimate festival by which all others will be compared. Who needs WSP when you have Muse? Who would even want to hear SCI when Modest Mouse can slay you? Not to mention the Stooges, Interpol, Roots and Kings of Leon. But where is Ryan Adams? This is a great lineup, looks like a good deal of great acts way down the list too (Cold War Kids, CSS, Annuals, and ELVIS PERKINS!). I might go if I can catch a ride ;-)
  11. I leech through a work connection so no Oink for me. I was hoping if someone already downloaded them, they could Sendspace or whatever. No big deal, I found a stack of Ryan Adams online this afternoon. Gotta practice to play with the big boys! Sean
  12. Yeah but that post died quickly. Wondering if anyone has those zip files like the Beatles and Dylan?

  14. Girl Talk just announced a show on a Friday night June 29th at Babylon. There aren't everyones cup of tea, but I figure it will be fun as hell......... Sean
  15. Hey guys, I am going to have some spare time on my hands over the next while, so I thought I would grovel for guitar tab for beginners. I suck, but love banging out chords to Dylan, RAdams, Bright Eyes, Dead etc. Anyone have any good sites to grab stuff from? Uploadable zip files (like that killer Dylan Chords from AMan? Thanks! Sean
  16. Awesome idea......... I wish I had the kind of girlfriend to do this. She would kill me if I even mentioned this! When I first read the title, I wondered if Crocs were moving into French Canada. S
  17. My friend Eric grabbed the stream from satelitte. I will post a link when he gets it out. The brevity of the show was disapointing. If they had they whole thing I hope they let it out. 9 songs of bliss though, and it was worth staying in on a Saturday night for. Sean
  18. Loads of great pictures and 9 songs from the show so far. Also of note is that the sound quality is outstanding. http://www.cbc.ca/radio2/singleConcert.html?20070406rheos I think at 8pm tonight is the full broadcast. If anyone can grab the stream in HQ, I will make it worth your while to get it for me. Thanks and enjoy, Sean
  19. The new cd People are Different is great! Thanks AD....... Sean
  20. Don't they have some beef with Anderson from the Bottle Rocket film? Something to do with his usage of their music without crediting or paying them for it?
  21. Packing my stuff up once again, but this time its heading West for the first time in a half decade......... Ottawa here I come!
  22. 2 of 2 here. Keep trying AD.......
  23. Can't wait. I have two weeks of Lost, last nights Friday Night Lights and a new Office. I am not leaving the house tonight and that sounds purty good to me!
  24. Right right- NMAS, thats why I didn't go last year. And Pollstar is now listing Dr John for Sat Sept 15. Other acts listed there include: Arturo Sandoval The Lee Boys Eric Lindell L'il Brian and the Travelers
  25. Like that one time when I was 18, about 140 lbs and this angry biker dude almost pummeled me at ABB at the Ampitheater for dancing. Said he didn't pay $40 to watch my back (he was three empty rows behind us, not right behind)- and that he would get his moneys worth beating me senseless. Actual quote. Since then I have learned to want to stand and dance, but I always let discretion play a big role. Sean
