  1. Thanks for that link. Great pics, hopefully Thursday and Friday will produce many more. Sean
  2. I just booked my room for the Rheos next weekend at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto (very nice) for $60 per night. I don't think you can beat that price anywhere. Thanks PL
  3. Sale 15537 Lot 61 Show details Bid / Track A metal attaché case used by Ram Rod to transport important items for the Grateful Dead while on tour, 1970s-1990s Estimate: $3,000 - 5,000 Hmm, locking metal case. What kind of important items were in that eh?
  4. I am sorry to all of the Ottawa folks, as you are going to have to put up with me 24/7 starting around June 1. Just in time for my birthday and everything....... You read it here first.
  5. Embarrasingly enough, no. I am the Asst Manager of the Dept, but that in no way excludes me from delivering when things go haywire!
  6. I have experience with Electrical Utilities, all GIS and GPS softare and hardware, Newspaper Circulation, Personell Management, etc. My girl just got an offer for a communications job in Ottawa, and that means we are looking to locate sooner than later..... Any leads, company names, things you have heard, etc about the job market there for an overly skilled individual in Otown? Thanks guys! Sean
  7. Same show Alexis........... 1994.
  8. Yep Eddie on drums, Beth grinding the guitar to death. It was uncomfortable to stand through.... The projections did not help at all.
  9. So then you certainly remember Dave and the boys wearing those shirts and even toques if I remember correctly? I think Eddie wore a mask for the first part of the set. The date was June 4 for sure, because as soon as the show let out I drove down to Yonge Street and bought Pink Floyd Pulse which was released at midnight (and maybe even Soul Asylum Let Your Dim Light Shine). Cool memories.
  10. I'll take it..... I never told anyone I saw the Foo Fighters at the Opera House before their first album came out. If anyone has ever seen me in my Stormtrooper shirt, Dave Grohl and Eddie Vedder gave me and my buddy one in the alley before the show. They had just bought 30 from a street seller and wanted fans to wear them. Thats right, Eddie Vedder was hanging out, as he was the opening band (Hovercraft, with his wife Beth) and also played guitar with Dave for the set (remember at that time, there were no real Foo Fighters), along with MIKE WATT ON BASS. Unbelieveable evening. I even got Mike to sign my ticket stub with Dave and Eddie gave me a tshirt.
  11. The new album is so awesome I would totally travel to Montreal from the East to see them play it in order and no other tunes. I hope Brock is ok. I thought the Deadheads were going to kill him first.......... "I walked by the arena the morning after a Dead show in Portland. Those hippies are just tripping in squalor." WICKED.
  12. Count me on your adventure boys......... Can't wait to blow the rent on tunes! Sean
  13. Yeah, but it would have cost me more to let the hotel sit empty on Saturday while I went to party in St Catharines.
  14. To debunk one more myth, you can cancel when using Priceline. BUT ONLY ONCE. It involves emailing Customer Service, asking for the cancellation, paying a $75 fee for cancelling (which is refunded if you rebook at a $25 premium). Basically you can cancel once with Priceline and it will cost you $25. Sean
  15. So now it stands: Horsheshoe Thursday Mar 29th Rheostatics Massey Hall Friday Mar 30th Rheostatics Now Lounge Friday Mar 30th SFNFTTS Lees Palace Saturday Mar 31st Constantines April 1st, I am sure the joke will squarely be on my shoulders as I check through customs and spend hours within inches of a stranger- while I sweat out rum and nugs....... Sean
  16. I don't know if that is true, but I do know that she spent some time as part of the Dead Family in her early years. She is in a couple of Dead photos from the 1972-73 era.
  17. Lovin every minute of it. Despite my physical lag today, I am still smiling! Wicked White Stripes cover, instruments I had never seen before, and like I said earlier 'the best sounding luggage in Can Rock!' Sean
  18. The Beatles- Yellow Submarine Dazed and Confused Office Space
  19. Neko Case Christina Aguilera EmmyLou Harris Billie Holiday If you skip the classification, this discussion gets way messier..........
  20. It is most likely from the Crow II soundtrack, because I have the first one and its not on there. And yeah that was a great cover.
  21. So by PP's standards, todays players are better guitarists than Jerry Garcia because Jerry hasn't done anything for us lately?
  22. I say Bowie, because he at least tip toed along the fence. For most of the 80's Prince just looked like a tranny (see pic above).
  23. Listen blues, post pop whatever- I can't believe that people are giving Courtney any props at all. Yes Chrissie Hynde.
