  3. I think that there will always be a small population that would rather eat cheap food then good food. I think that frozen GM foods would still have a place in our markets...but it would be harder to keep fresh produce. I am praying this Bill goes through. It would bring such interesting changes.

yup, and it's probably just as bad for you as all the other processed foods out there, people think that because it's veg it's healthier, but it's not.

    Popcorn!

[color:orange]oh I am thinking of Taj right now. I LOVE popcorn too. I pop mine in an air popper. (sometimes on the stove). Then I add olive oil, cayenne, basil, (vegan) Parmesan, garlic powder and salt. My fav. is just with plain old fashion margarine/butter. I grew up in the country and people used to give out popcorn balls at Halloween. This is rice crispy squares but with pop corn instead of the rice crispy. (AMAZING) I eat popcorn with chopsticks, always have (I went to my first Chinese restaurant when I was 12 and kept the sticks) and when I was in Korea, I was complimented on my chopstick work(wo)manship, but it was all because of the popcorn. Popcorn is my favorite vegetable.

    coffee!

I didn't say that I could taste the difference, but fair trade is normally organic, plus, fair traders grow on a smaller scale and maybe they roast their beans differently? Maybe they take the time to pick out the bad beans? hehe Where's Kyla?

    coffee!

I like Tim Hortons when I am travelling. I think it's habbit. Since I started drinking my coffee black, I can tell the difference between a good cup and a crap cup. Starbucks is strong but is crap. I Can't tell the difference between fair trade and not, but I have started liking coffee from certain countries better then others. But if you add milk/cream and sugar, it's all the same. I thinkt hat I can tell between orgarnic and not, but I only drink organic now, so I might be wrong. I used to drink it everyday, now I only drink it about once a month, and love it when I do.

  15. I find that when I make WW pasta, once it's almost done...I leave it in the water off the burner until it becomes soft all the way through.

  17. Oh I love tempeh...this looks amazing. My little bro is coming this weekend for the LBJ and I might make this for him...thanks
  18. Oh, I know that they are working on it, but I find myself doubting that this is a priority. The organization that I work for is starting up an office in Alberta to help orgs like Environmental Defence fight them, but we are such little guys chasing the suits in a Birkenstock's, hard to keep up. My uncle works out there and he is pretty high up. He told me that Canada's economy depends almost completely on the oil sands, that Canada would fall apart without it, I said that without the a healthy environment, we will all die anyways, that's when my mom stopped us and said it wasn't Easter Dinner conversation I have been doing lots of reading on the oil sands, I would really like to go out there. They said that they roll up all the peat moss, dig all the oil under there then roll the peat back and no one could ever tell the difference...
  19. I've been told that we could meet kyoto if it wasn't for this. oil sands
