your bass and gear choices make me smile. I have been playing through an eden rig now too.. very modern sounding.. which is exactly what I have been going for. I lust after an old svt though... I feel they charge way too much for them unfortunately.

Ya that sounds liek the 55-02. I would love one of those, but I didn't want to buy new and the 55-01 is the only one I could find used. It does a really good jazz bass, and I can get it sounding kinda p bass like as well. but really, I love the tone it has so I don't really care. I love the 35" scale, makes the low b extra delicious. Hey PEIPunk. Don't you play a modulous as well? what model is it?

Right now I play a lakland 55-01, and a stingray. I perfer the lakland over the stingray. the lakland was half the price. Don't get me wrong the stingray is a great, well made bass, but there is just something about the fit and finish and sound of the lakland that I just love.

IMO, its fender being scared. Because sadowsky and lakland both make better Percision and Jazz basses than fender does and they both have models that reach the same price point.

you don't need to triangualte anything. you just look up what towers the call was routed through, look at where the guys residence is... put 2 and 2 together and voila... gee. he placed a call that was routed through a tower on the same block as his residence.

yah my band just turned down a show there with loudlove... they didn't think anyone would go... sometimes I wonder about the guys in my band.. I am am never one to turn down ANY gig... but these guys have turned down a couple...

oh man... I am so sorry for your loss... you almost made me cry at work... I dunno what I would have done... but don't feel guilty.. you did the best you could for her, I am sure she knew that.

why did people give up everything to tour with the dead or phish for what amounts to 2.5 hours of entertainment? people have paid WAY more than that to see phish or the grateful dead. its all subjective..
