    Unemployed!

So Bradm, are you off work now? Like this has already occured?
  2. There's a place in town that makes Brazilian-style pizza with cream cheese in the crust. It's really good but really really expensive.
  3. That said, my neighbors were asking me about signing up for the same deal you're talking about BWM. I will mention to them that you're looking for people to go in with.
  4. I've done the cheap pass (weekdays instead of nights) at Cascade and last year, Fortune. After visiting Edelweiss once last year I decided that's where I'll be going this year.

    AC/DC

I think I read that they are gonna tour the new album for 18 months, in which case they will likely swing through again, hopefully hitting Ottawa next time around. That's what I'm hoping anyway. I'll never forget the ACDC show I saw, and I wanna see 'em again.
  6. I'm very sorry to hear this. I've always been a fan of the Blinksters and particularly of the drumming.

    Unemployed!

I know this is a bit twisted, but getting a severence package is a lifetime dream of mine (one I'm confident I will never see realized). Again, congrats.

    Congratulations Bradm.
  9. Right. It's called the Beaverbrook Gallery.
  10. Though there are many reasons to want Harper out of office, all I need is one: The guy eliminated the daily scrum when he was elected in favour of a weekly scrum where the only questions allowed are those supplied by the PM office. Is taking away the ability for the press to question policy a benefit to Canadians or a benefit to the Harper government? Obviously the latter, and I believe that is indicative of his entire leadership. He's not leading a country, he's playing a game, and that game has cost us a lot of money, among other detriments.
  11. I'm always happy to see a politician who doesn't act like a politician.
  12. I'm not surprised about all the country music love 'round here. After all, it was the rootsiness of the Grateful Dead that segued me into loving country music.
  13. Yeah, I got that part.
  14. I have no idea what you're talking about Mike. I suspect one of us is drunk.
  15. Not what you're asking about but a Fredericton tip for you: Go to the Fredericton Art Gallery, or whatever it's called. It's quite small but has three pieces by Salvador Dali, one of which is enormous and stunning. It's well worth the nominal admission.
  16. Not to mention he took $300,000 in renovations and drove Barrymore's into the ground.
  17. oh yeah: http://www.nothingbutnets.net/
  18. I watched Colbert last night and he interviewed a guy about Nothing But Nets. The guy was so enthusiastic about what seems like such a good idea I did something I rarely do - I went to the website and donated some money. The idea is this - 3,000 children die each day in Africa from malaria so the plan is to donate mosquito nets doused in mosquito repellent. It's $10 per net and they have donated 2,000,000 nets so far. As a guy who suffered through dengue fever (a mild form of malaria) I can tell you that the tragedy of dying from a mosquito bite must be almost equalled by the agonizing throes malaria subjects it's victims to in their final days. One minute of my time and $10 of my money is a pittance in the face of this problem.
  19. Taking advantage of bands that desperately seek exposure should not be construed as helping the scene.
  20. I have my very own computer.
