  1. Can anyone hook me up with the Live Nation pre-sale password?
  2. No hold showing up on my credit card yet... Maybe a good sign, given the crappy results I'm hearing on here so far.
  3. Newly added: Xavier Rudd Matt Mays The Cat Empire The Wooden Sky
  4. Cool. I was under the impression that the Fort York shows would only be on the Saturday and Sunday. Now if they would just add Bonnie Prince Billy to the lineup, that would be excellent. AND a solo instrumental steel odyssey performed by the Good Rev. Logos for The Horseshoe and Lee's Palace (and Collective Concerts) are included at the bottom of the TURF page.. So perhaps/probably/maybe that's where the evening shows might be.
  5. Schweet! Was just listening to Jacksonville City Nights the other day for the first time in a long time.
  6. Got mine. Three more bands added: - Dawes - Fitz & The Tantrums - Arkells

    Bluesfest 2013

Sure beats last year's crapola lineup. RUSH!
  16. Did anyone check this out? BTW - I quit Facebook, so it looks like I'll be wasting more time on jambands.ca from now on.
  17. Nice. Besides Toronto I see the only other city getting more than a one-nighter is Condesa (Mexico City). Take that Billings, Montana.
  18. This one is looking pretty tasty... http://exclaim.ca/News/toronto_urban_roots_festival_adds_hold_steady_frank_turner_lowest_of_low_skydiggers This summer the Toronto Urban Roots Festival (TURF) will be bringing some high-profile acts to Fort York: Garrison Common from July 4 to 7. The lineup just keeps on getting better, since the organizers have added some more acts to the bill. Following previously announced artists like Belle & Sebastian, She & Him, Camera Obscura, Neko Case, and Joel Plaskett & the Emergency, the fest has nabbed new additions the Hold Steady, Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls, the Lowest of the Low, Justin Townes Earle and Skydiggers. The festival will be spread out across four nights and two full days, with performances by some 30 artists taking place on two outdoor stages and in two clubs. Early bird tickets are slated to go on sale in mid-March. Four-day passes are $99.50, while single day tickets are $39.50 or $49.60, and VIP tickets are $193.50 or $149.50. Check back to TURF's website for specific information as it is made available. http://torontourbanrootsfest.com/
  19. Another one for you Ottawa folks.. Califone is doing an all-house show this Spring, and is taking applications for hosts. Including Ottawa on May 12. http://www.undertowmusic.com/califone-living-room-tour/ Here’s how it works... 1. You have a house or loft space that can comfortably and safely host 40-60 people. A place with a big living room, finished basement or other interior space would be ideal. Sorry, we can’t do these shows outside. There needs to be enough street parking nearby and your neighbors should be cool. It would be a huge bummer if someone called the cops because of all the extra cars and people coming to your house. You probably shouldn’t do this if you live in a small apartment with a bunch of uptight neighbors or a cranky landlord. 2. The shows will not be open to the public and no tickets will be sold at the door. We’ll pre-sell a set number of tickets for each show on our website before the show. Be realistic on how many people your place can hold. We need to know how many tickets we can sell in advance. We’ve found that 40-60 people is what the average living room can hold. Ticket price will be $20. 3. There will be no reselling or third-party tickets sales. All tickets sales are direct to fans from Undertow. Limit 4 tickets per person. We want everyone to have the same chance of getting tickets. We’ll void tickets and refund the price if we find them for re-sale. 4. We’ll create a Facebook event for each show and will make the host an Admin for the event so you can easily invite your friends and help us spread the word. 5. We’ll provide the host with a detailed list of everyone coming to the show. The host won’t have to deal with any money and will only need to check people off the list as they arrive. 6. The host can have up to 5 additional free tickets for the show. If you have other friends who want to come to the show you can direct them to the link to buy tickets on-line. 7. You don’t need any sort of sound system. All you need is a 2-3 chairs for the guys to sit on and some kind of ambient lighting like a lamp on coffee table, floor lamp, etc. 8. Your home address will not be published on the web and will only be given to people who purchase tickets. 9. There will be no opening acts on the living room shows.
  20. Haha! Scarred for life. This reminds me of a similar concert moment at Copps Coliseum. The year was 1993 or so, and it was my first concert experience. Guns N Roses in the Hammer (with The Brian May Band opening). Towards the end of the set, Axl got pegged in the leg with a flying water bottle. He fanned the middle finger across the entire arena, threw down the mic and never came back. Slash stepped up with an extra meaty solo to end it off.
  21. Thought some of you'd be interested in this show. BADBADNOTGOOD are playing this Saturday at Ritual. They're not bad! One of the highlights of Hillside Festival last year. Here's an interview/article on the show: http://apt613.ca/badbadnotgood-bound-to-ritual/ :chug:
