They do mark them down to get people there. Not a lot of draw for a mid-week game against the Florida Panthers. I doubt that. They sell out almost every game. It's actually better on weekends, because you're not competing with the after-work commuter traffic. I've never had a problem getting to a game on time, and I go to 20 games a season. That was 6 years ago, with a different owner.

They've been selling tickets to these games against shitty teams (Florida, Carolina, NYI, Phoenix, etc.) at half-price for the past 3 seasons.

To me, "strategic voting" is the same as the old "let's all boycott a particular chain of gas stations until they lower the price of gas" thing. There's no way to organize enough people to have any significant effect.
