  1. -Nachos at the Economy Shoe Shop -Tour of Keith's Brewery -Stroll along Spring Garden Road -Nachos at the Economy Shoe Shop (yes, I know)
  2. There are a few artists on there who are perennials: Béla Fleck (though not the original Flecktones), Sam Bush, YMSB, Emmylou Harris and Jerry Douglas, to name a few. But like I said, doesn't make it any less incredible.
  3. That lineup is as awesome as it is predictable, although it's nice to see some young blood (Mumford, Old Crow, Punch Brothers, etc.) in there with the old guard. Would love to see the Avett Brothers and Greensky Bluegrass added.
  4. I was the only one cheering for Canada in a jam-packed bar in Colorado. I had to temper the excitement a little bit.
  5. Good point about it being before the peak season. I guess we'll see.
  6. I find that hard to believe. The park would lose a ton of revenue, plus I would imagine that it would be tough to get the word out that it would be effectively closed to the public for an entire day. I may be proven wrong, but I would be very surprised if that turns out to be true.
  7. Hey jackasses, whose job was it to give Esau his meds today?
  8. Well, yes and no. Almost every Phish tour date these days is widely circulated as rumour before it's confirmed. That being said, the rumours that end up being true are almost always accompanied by a pile of rumours which never pan out.
  9. Maybe he needs a power scooter.
  10. Icefilms.info is my go-to. Pretty complete and current for just about everything except HBO shows, which tend to get taken down pretty quickly.
  11. RIP indeed. He may have been my favourite secondary Seinfeld character.
  12. From their Facebook page: On Record Store Day, Phish will release TWO SOUNDCHECKS, a Limited Edition 7-inch vinyl record that will be available exclusively at participating independently owned record stores across the country. TWO SOUNDCHECKS marks the band's first ever live vinyl release and their first release in conjunction with Record Store Day. This 7-inch is limited to 2,000 hand-numbered copies, and once they are gone they are gone. The A-Side is an instrumental jam culled from the soundcheck of Phish's third show of a sold out three-night stand at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA. The B-Side is an especially exotic soundcheck from Hartford, CT in 2009, featuring Trey on Bass, and Fish on drums. This Limited Edition 7-inch was created exclusively for Record Store Day. TWO SOUNDCHECKS will be available in stores only beginning April 16th, 2011.
  13. PT hasn't been "down" for years, brah. Custy'd.
  14. From Jambands.com I went to both years of Rothbury and thought it was damn-near perfect as a venue for a festival of that size. Warm during the day, nice and cool at night, with a forest and a lake smack in the middle of things. I had hoped it would go the way of Bonnaroo and branch out and prosper. I'll be interested to see the rest of this lineup.
  15. Well yes, because it's a money-making event. Just like Phish shows or anything else on that scale. For sheer amount of music per dollar spent, it's still hard to top Bonnaroo, at least when talking about national/international acts. Personally I'm disappointed to see Eminem as the lead headliner, but there's enough there that would entice me if it were at all doable.
  16. One would only assume that they have canceled the western leg portion of their tour, although it's business as usual on their website and MySpace.
  17. Damn. Compound fracture and ambulance ride - that does not sound good. I'm in Calgary for work this week and was hoping to catch their show Wednesday night. Disappointed it (probably) won't be happening, although of course the main concern now is wishing Mr. Good a speedy recovery.
  18. That looks like a sweet run. Listened to the Fire on the Mountain. There are some songs JB's voice is perfect for. IMO, that is not one of them.
  19. So rad that you played Little Martha at her grave.
