There have been a bunch of rumours circulating involving some combination of Phish/ABB/Furthur at Watkins this summer, but I think that link is definitely someone jumping the gun. Someone who spends time on PT would be able to shed a little more light on it.

Wow, those are some ambitious rooms. Halifax Metro Centre? Ottawa Civic Centre? I dare say there will be a lot of people at those shows dressed as seats. Either way, nice to see some thorough Canadian coverage.

Brilliant. Obviously it wouldn't work for a pint of Guiness or anything else that needs a little TLC, but for larger venues this seems like a no-brainer.

hahaha..I was thinking very similar thoughts..though mine involved chewing my foot off.. Agreed. On the plus side it would give you some time to chill out and have some beers before the late-night sets without having to miss anything, as there wouldn't be much (if anything) playing opposite them. That being said, I would be shocked if this is even close to a legit rumour. As NW said above, there are always a few "leaked" lineups that turn out to be bogus.

That's definitely true of the walk between stages, but the walk to the stages can be a bit of a bitch. We had close to a 1/2 hour from tent-to-main stage one year, which was a bit of a pain.

I saw some pretty wicked shows at the curling club in Victoria. Cake, most notably. Hard to imagine DMB playing that room.

Well, that all depends. 5/3/98 was at the Congress Centre. 11/14/98 was at the Corel Centre. The Congress Centre was before I had ever listened to the band. But I was in the fourth row for the Corel Centre and had a great time. Aloha, Hart

I remember seeing his name on the marquee in North Battleford, Saskatchewan this summer. Couldn't help but think that North Battleford is a long way from SNL. Doesn't make him any less hilarious, though.

Holy shit indeed. What makes that number even more remarkable is that they don't really play the biggest stadiums - almost all of that is from sheds and arenas, and within North America. Staggering.

Makes me miss my hometown, but playing pond hockey on Great Slave Lake a couple times a week isn't a bad substitute.
