Shouldn't be too much of a problem depending on the size of the area affected... there should be a layer of chip-rock underneath that you can scoop some out off with the brick(s) removed... just make sure if you are taking out a bunch of bricks to lay them down in a way that you'll remember how they go when you put them back in and it should be fine. The ground underneath has changed due to the thaw... this year should be extra bad if the state of the roads have been any indication.
