  1. i would have liked to gone to this show, but wasnt in the cards. ENJOY!!
  2. [color:purple]i am baffled by the humour with which all of you are approaching this very serious subject! im disgusted altho', to be fair, I'd like to try that catshit coffee, so my level of disgust isnt normal.
  3. now FOWL, do you really need this to hunt? doesnt seem like much of a challenge to me. hell, even a child could kill with that. oh wait, they do ... in schoolyards.
  4. could a civil rights activist be a lecherous womanizer and an academic plagiarist and still be held in high regard? even have a national holiday named after him? yep. it's all packaging, man.
  5. sweet, so you got in! 3 for 3. nice. yes, thanks again to the bashman. sharin' the music.

    coffee!

anyone ever had that cat shit coffee? kopi luwak?
  7. but, is it reasonable to overbook 5:1?
  8. perhaps not, but I predict a sudden increase in ER visits for pulled groins ...
  9. i have a feeling there are a lot of people whose names are on the list but are unable to attend. im confused about the n=1500 on the list. why would they have even bothered compiling one that large? nice people, but they just didnt seem that organized to me. but a big YAY for free, and good!, concerts!
  10. hey, shouldn't y'all at least let the Moores die before ya take cheap shots like this?
  11. was a fun show. not the greatest or longest stars show ever, but was short and sweet and very enjoyable. amy's voice was as good as ive ever heard it. almost didnt get in because of the big list/line of vip people all going in first, but our almost 2hr wait in line was worth it. was hoping for a genova heights encore but they scurried off quickly at 11. a band called islands opened, they were pretty good too. really cool to watch them film the show too. i want one of those HD camera's. they were clearer than real life.

    whopper

i'd cut back on the booze, brad. otherwise you'll be crawling around on the floor all night. this is a crazy recipe!
  13. with respect, 3.30 is 254% of 1.30, which is a 154% increase. 1.30 is 118% of 1.10, which is a 18% increase.
  14. Thanks for downloading all that free music everybody! Right on Booche!!! but its not the artists or even the record companies that are jacking prices. if that was the case, prices would be comparable at each show on a tour. but they are not. its the promoters who are taking advantage of specific affluent markets. live nation is the devil.
  15. a couple of years ago, we won $800 on a slot machine at the casino in detroit. they pay you in cash with all the bells and lights still going off. all those sketchy eyes marking you out made it rather stressful. let's just say it was a rather quick, and immediate, run back to the hotel.
  16. ricoh is a horse barn built in 1921 that has been retrofitted into a small hockey arena. by design, its a lousy place for a concert. it's capacity is 6000 plus. other big-market shows on this tour are in clubs less than 1000. the TO show should have been at the sony. we got ripped off this tour re: venue, much like the time a few years ago when the white stripes show was at the hershey center arena in mississauga. good show despite a horrible venue.
  17. Oh for sure, Birdster. We've gone to see a bunch of bands like Widespread, Trey, Tom Waits and others in Detroit over the years. And Mr. Little Caesars has made great contributions to that area of town by pouring money into theaters, etc, making it actually a nice place to go. We also head down to Buffalo a lot too. It's a bit of a shame that we have to do that, tho'. Even with travel and hotel costs, its sometimes cheaper to go out of town. Figure that. btw, i like your "if you can cross the border" caveat. one cannot necessarily make that assumption around here, lol
  18. our cars were covered in snow in guelph this morning. :susel:
  19. George Stroumboulopoulos: And we're back with Chad Kroeger of Nickelback. Kroeger: Thanks George. Stroumboulopoulos: Chad, let's talk about the title of your new solo album "I suck and I can prove it". Where does that come from? Kroeger: Well, George [stands up] ...
  20. absolutely right, brad. we've got tickets for Hot Chip and some other smaller bands in smaller clubs. that market hasnt been poisoned by LiveNation just yet. $20 to see them at the Phoenix is great. and we try to buy those tix at RotateThis too, so TM gets a bit less of my money. but, i'd also like to see REM, Raconteurs, hell, even George Michael, but only if I don't have to take out a second mortgage to do so or have to see them in the crappiest venue on their tour.
