  1. i went last year and felt horribly mislead. not a single virgin anywhere to be found. just the same old dirty skanks. and then i missed the ferry and had to sleep on a carousel swan.
  2. grow herbs in the off season
  3. it's not a big place at all, its actually a small dance club. the show took place between 8pm and 10pm. (kids were already gathering outside to get in when we left). they set up maybe 150 to 200 white, folding, wedding chairs on the floor and at least as many more were standing around the room. I'd guess there were maybe 400 people there. your sister would have been safe. yes, the place was full of drunk howard stern fans, but she wouldnt have been dragged up on stage or anything. if she likes stern, she would have liked the show. that said, there were only a handful of women there - perhaps 20 in total.

  6. are oyu kidding? that sounds like the perfect food combo to me!
  7. i dont accept the premise of this question. one, i do not think average Canadians "fight for partisan politics" - yes, some are actively involved in campaigning, but to most its just a pasttime, worthy of lively debate and eventual, but reluctant, acceptance that our political options are quite limited. ... but lets hope that the Green Party becomes seen as a viable alternative to all three dominant parties, vis a vis various specific issues (Greens are fiscally conservative, promote social welfare, and advance stewardship of the environment) and two, i do think that Canadians fight for the strength of their communities via participation in local health, sports and religious organizations. a great many more people are involved in these sorts of activities than are involved in politiking. honestly, im baffled as to how anyone could fight for the strength of their economic system, other that simply using their dollars to make various statements, like buying locally, supporting (or not) unions, never using credit cards, etc. that's such an abstract concept that i dont think is worth debating without grounding it with specific examples. that's why i did find birdy's comment interesting. it took a complex issue out of the abstract and into the concrete. to debate the concepts in isolation is a pissing match.
  8. yes. whip cream from a can. comical with a touch of creepy. first with a very attractive 19yo girl supposedly from the audience. then later by beetle with the same girl and another woman. excusing how offensive it is, it was actually pretty funny to see beetle do it. dont try to rationalize "the act", bouche. this entire evening was non sequiters. nothing fit with anything else. the iron shriek came out and simply hollared about hulk hogan and that other wrestler. nothing different that what ive heard on the show, but still fun to see. he was escorted to the stage by some beefy dude proudly holding up the sheik's championship belt. (it was bigger than beetle). there was a real sense of softcore sideshow to the night. not a regular night of standup comics at just for laughs, lol.
  9. 2nd show tonite at republik in toronto. was a fun show last nite. each guy did 10 to 20 min. shuli hosted. if you've heard stern, you would have heard a lot of the jokes, or ones like them. some of the stuff was pretty hilarious. we were right by the backstage door, so they all walked by us, to and from the stage. short fuckers, all of them. i almost knocked beetle in the head with my elbow when he darted by - didnt even see him then all of a sudden saw this really small black shaved head. he can't be more than 3' tall. im not sure i'd ever go again, but was really fun to see them all in person. the crowd was 99% white men between 30yo and 45yo.
  10. anybody else going to see Rev. Bob Levy, Beetlejuice, Sal, Iron Shiek and the 'lesser' half of Quivertine at Republik tonite?
