  1. i don't know what's unfair about it. i got a credit card my first week at university. of course i racked it up (they only give you 1000 limit anyway with no prior credit history), but i saw lots of shows, did cool stuff and had money i wouldn't have had otherwise, to enjoy myself. i paid it off later. seems fair to me.
  2. he grew up in the states though
  3. metropolis is GA so it's no big rush. i was just confused why i couldn't find it on their site but now i understand.
  4. i can't believe they are showing the stupid calgary game instead of vancouver. wtf! nobody cares about calgary.
  5. that sucks, but, i guess you haven't been to the forum before.? that's what happens when you go to shows there. any time i've been to shows there, they are all ages thrashy shows...that's the type of show that gets put on in that venue. (metal, punk, etc.) and it has always been that way. i got a bloody black eye last time from a flying boot.
  6. exactly...credit has made soooo many things possible for me, it has enhanced my life a great deal. although, i can't manage my finances and spending habits either. also, credit is now essential for me as i get paid irregularly (sometimes only once in 6 weeks)
  7. well, i followed that link twice, to no avail. which is why i asked for the correct link. thank you for the updated info.
  8. can someone please post the link?!
  9. yeah i don't see it listed either. ? so...it always costs a lot to buy tickets thru musictoday cuz of the shipping from the US and stuff. so i think i'll wait until the metropolis onsale. though i just checked out another show's tickets at metropolis and there seem to be high service charges (10 on a 25$ ticket) so it probably works out about the same.

  19. ok then here's one i like to make, esp on a cold day! it's nice and thick. serve with garlic bread. i find it tastes better when i grind up my own garam masala, so if you have the time and spices it's worth it, but i'm often too lazy to do it so i use storebought. the recipe doesn't make a ton of soup, maybe 4 smaller bowls or 2-3 big bowls. so you might want to double it. Spicy Chicken and Mushroom Soup 6 Tbsp unsalted butter 1/2 tsp crushed garlic 1 tsp garam masala 1 tsp crushed black peppercorns 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg 225 g chicken (skinless, boneless) 1 med. leek, sliced generous 1 cup mushrooms, sliced 1/3 cup sweet corn kernels 1 1/4 cup water 1 cup cream 2 Tbsp chopped fresh coriander 1 tsp crushed red chillies, to garnish 1 - melt butter in a med. saucepan. lower the heat and add the garlic and garam masala. lower the heat further and add the peppercorns, salt and nutmeg 2 - cut the chicken into fine strips and add to the pan with the leek, mushrooms and corn. cook for 5-7 min. until chicken is cooked through, stirring constantly. 3 - remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly. transfer 3/4 of the mixture into a food processor or blender. add the water and process for about 1 min. 4 - pour the puree back into the saucepan with the rest of the mixture and bring to the boil over medium heat. lower the heat and stir in the cream. 5 - add the fresh coriander. taste and adjust the seasoning. serve hot, garnished with crushed red chillies if liked.
