Said the same thing to my wife the other day. How does it compare to season 1? I din't read the first book, but was able to follow along with the show easily enough.

If the CBC loses the NHL then it's bye-bye nationally televised games. Most people have satellite nowadays, so there will always be some semblance of free-to-air sport programming (although not really), but those in regions that are different from their favorite teams will likely suffer the most. Right now I can flip between Canadian teams playing on a Saturday night if they're broadcast on the CBC. Won't be able to do that if CTV or Roger's takes over.

A lot of, if not all of the flyers I make go into news ads and what-not, so I don't feel comfortable using images from the web. But you recommend Photoshop, huh? I don't have any experience with it. Does it come with templates? Do you know if "vector art" differs much from what's offered in publisher?

What program do you use and where do your get your images? I've been using publisher and Clip Art just isn't doing it for me. Is it cool to just use google images? Any suggestions?

The NHL could have dropped CBC a few years back and made a lot more money, but made the decision not to based on the cultural relevance of the station. IMO, it was a smart move. (If anyone wants a really long article about it, PM me and Ill send you a copy, its a great read). I don't think anything Cherry says now is any worse than it was before, so I really doubt his latest antics would change anyone's mind. If the NHL drops the CBC it will be because they have decided to accept the bids of either Bell Globe or Rogers....or both. They might tell everyone it was because of Cherry.

I just wish I gloated more after 5-0, but I didn't want to jinx it. So much for plan A. IMO they had an easy sked over the 1st half, and their true colours are showing now as they play the better teams in the league. The goalie situation doesn't help either, of course.
