  1. This thread is great. I went through and arbitrarily picked out a few albums from the many lists and I have to say that Fiona Apple's is the most interesting the first time through. Jury is still out on a couple of the others but I got me some time over the holidays to get to know them. Incidentally, can anyone recommend something hard and grungy? I was listening to Soundgarden and Metallica's Black album the other day and wondered if there's anything out there these days that's got that kind of energy to it? Needing to rock out a little more, ya know?

I saw that too. That's pretty sick that people would suggest such a thing. Best to leave it alone and hope it goes away, IMHO.

Fack, isn't that just the way? It's like Coca Cola sponsoring Physical Activity initiatives. Oh the world we live in.
  4. On that note, the Raptors should re-name themselves The Dribble. And I vote for D-boy's Jersey. Maybe Bubbles could replace Geddy on the alternate...
  5. Ya, but if I can rock an open shirt like that when I'm his age I'll be pretty damn proud of myself.
  6. I'm watching the AMC HD feed and the censor is has about a second and a half lag on the swears. "Drink a Fuckin Beer!"
  7. I read that Vedder would be singing with Waters so I tuned in and for a few seconds I watched and I thought to myself, wow, I have not seen what Eddie Vedder looks like in a long time, and in HD he looks kinda like Tigger. Then the real Eddie came out. haha :bonghit:
  8. I'd pick Morris over Schilling too. Just for clarity's sake, in my list I was trying to decide whether or not I thought the guy took steroids, not if i thought he should be in the hall. But ya, total mess they have there. Have no idea what they're gonna do!
  9. I went through the eligible players list and had entirely way too much fun deciding whether or not they used drugs. Once you take the obvious ones out, there's still a few half decent guys left. 10. Did you watch Brasil's triumph over Panama last night in the WBC qualifier?! BRASIL!! Cool your kid plays ball. We're putting in an indoor batting net in the local gym out here. It's rural Nova Scotia, so they don't usually get that sort of thing, and the ballplayers are stoked. I'm really excited about hitting all winter too. I've ordered an indoor pitching mound an L-Screen, and even a softball screen that has a hole just right of centre about waist high so rec leaguers can use it to. Sorry to get off topic, but I'm just really excited about it!
  11. Definitely excited by the potential! This is where I'm worried. But you're right, circumstances are different this time around. Here's to cautious optimism!
  12. Man, I never liked Gibbons. He didn't DO anything. All I remember about him was that I found myself constantly complaining that he refused to manufacture runs. Kinda disappointed by this, not gonna lie.
  13. Wonder how Farrell feels these days?
  14. Love the player reactions we get on twitter these days. Nolasco's is just terrific. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/baseball/mlb/story/2012/11/13/spf-mlb-baseball-twitter-trending-toronto-blue-jays-miami-marlins-trade.html
  15. This year's class was incredible and Sundin definitely deserved to be there.

  17. I guess it will be my goal this year to hear that story straight form the horses mouth, haha!
  18. haha, that's true. I don't even know if that's him, to tell you the truth. I just google imaged his name and thought, well, he must have looked different way back when. Poor showing on my part.
  19. That's the guy, yeah. Super nice, totally fits the bill of the tough guy on the ice/gentle giant off. You should see him play, for a large dude he can skate! Which stands to reason, I guess...
  20. Know who it is? Just found out he runs my Men's rec Hockey league team.
