  2. Does anyone know what time the doors are going to close for MMJ? Everything I can seem to find shows times for the earlier shows where it says noone showing up past 8pm will be admitted... but since doors don't open for MMJ until 8.15 i'm wondering... i don't want to get shut out!
  3. Thanks for posting this Basher! I'm really looking forward to this!

  5. From how i read Basher's initial post, seems like only those people who actually get chosen will be notified. If you don't hear back, it's a no go.
  6. MMJ is one of my most favourite bands, if not the most and right now i'm ridiculously jealous of Jaimoe.
  7. haha... fuk my arm was in a sling for 3 & 1/2 weeks after that one and still isn't right. and i had to get up the next morning and go to work for 8 am, in a different country. i had to shower with my bra on! haha
  8. Try 12 mojitos, 7 shots of tequila and an unknown quantity of butterscotch schnapps meets side view mirror of cab with head, then curb, then road. Good times.
  9. Pretty cool! Kaki King is a great guitarist... and very sweet! I'd saw her maybe a year or so ago in Ann Arbor and would go in a heart beat if it wasn't a wednesday in Toronto. Stars is a good call. I'm seeing them next weekend in Pontiac... been waiting a long time for this one! MMJ would be awesome. I think i'd fall over and die if i saw/heard Jim James sing in a church.
  10. I feel sorry for the not liker of asparagus. The best vegetable in the book! I despise green peppers. I almost puke a little in my mouth thinking about them. Green peppers shouldn't be included in the otherwise delicious pepper family. I wish i liked fish and chips. Something about all that fried goodness and my stomach don't go well together to the point of being sick a few years back and I can't bring myself to eat them again. Which is a shame, because i'm almost positive i know the best fish and chip place not on a coast.

    Dish Soap

Sunlight makes the best bubble blowing concoction but ruins my hands. I use Method. It has vitamin e and aloe built right in!
  12. I'm of British/Welsh/Norwegian heritage. My great grandmother passed down the world's best yorkshire pudding recipe that makes having a roast beef dinner bring the entire family together to the table. That stuff is facking delicious. Lots of sweet pickles and little pickled onions and other things always sat on our tables. Meatpies were always a big hit in the family too... ground beef/sausage, variety of spices held together with mashed potatoes, baked in a pie and served with a chili sauce. An abundance of chili sauces seemed to be all over the place. Goulash is a biggie too. Bread puddings are a typical desert. Before my dad decided to get his shit together he spent about fifteen or so years nomadically hitchhiking all over the eastern seaboard. We're big into lobster, smoked salmon and fish fry's and the like... and i contribute that to him. And a little to Norway.
  13. I'm surprised there aren't more gawdy eight feet tall inflatable easter bunnies littering people's lawns here in Chatham. My cousin and I just went on a three hour cruise all within the city limits on the hunt for obscene easter decorations and funny church greeting signs. The best was "Jesus Christ. He paid the price", the same church in the summer has their sign reading "Our church is prayer conditioned". The best inflatable easter bunny prize went to chatham-kent secondary school for their 30 foot high ginormous pink bunny pegged down on the front lawn. All in all, it was good times. Four coffees between the two of us later, and noone won anything. Roll up the rim this time around is bullshit. Whatever happened to the good old days when winning nothing was a surprise? Happy Easter!
  14. I'd say if you're willing to die for your neighbour than you'd be willing to die for your country.
  15. is this becoming a common sig in emails? two people in my department now have this. in green too. I think so. Half of my company has the "please consider the environment before printing this email" signature.
  16. it's clear what it is. i just don't get the logic of moving some topics to say, the politics forum and not moving youtubes to the youtubes forum. but really, whatever. it's not like i'm looking to arm wrestle over it.
  17. I'm so sorry! Losing your dog is one of the worst things anyone has to go through... i lost mine this past summer. I'm sure he is in a much better place now up in doggie heaven, running around like he was 2 again, drooling, barking and wagging his tail.
  18. I think the video forum is ridiculous. Youtube videos can be of anything. Videos shouldn't be a subforum. They should be included wherever, whenever. Sometimes the politics forum is a snoozefest as there's only really about 5 or 6 or 7 main contributors around there... say if 1 or 2 of them go on a hiatus for any given period of time, the place quickly becomes booorrrrrrinnnnng. I wish more people who were interested in politics clicked in there once in a while. It can be entertaining.
  19. I'd vote for him on speeches alone.

I big time love Ron Paul. If only we could find his Canadian equivalent!

    Into The Wild

I read the book and thought it was fantastic!! I'll try and bring myself to watch the movie, but books and my imagination have a pretty good track record of ruining those for me.
  22. This is hot off the press and well worth the read.
