  5. Relax Mike. Please re-read my post. Why are you so defensive about this? Please, point out where I claimed I didn't believe you or even eluded to it. Seriously. And for the record, since you obviously didnt read my post, the quoted part is taken directly from the demonoid staff comment in the help forum, so is the screenshot. As I mentioned in my above post. But to help you out here, I'll re-post it and bold ONLY the parts that explain why you don't have the option to give any invites. I apolgize for trying to help you understand why you can't invite people at this time.
  6. Thats the beauty of FAQs and the forums on websites, they almost always contain the answer, if you look. Taken from the help forum, and from the stickied Demonoid Invitation Codes (How / When...) thread.
  7. I remember when this guys videos were making the rounds, funny stuff.

  9. In control panel, under the very top section titled "invitations". Then hit the big button that says "create a new invitation code" a very long code will be created that you pass along to whoever you are inviting - of course if your account is new you may not be able to invite people yet. I have several.
  10. On of my biggest problems is watching on take up internet time complaining about on thing yet completely ignorant to on's own shortcomings. I understand what you are saying, but I'm curious to how you know the writer is "completely ignorant" to his own shortcomings? Just like any other list on the internet, its nothing more then personal opinion. I mean, who takes shit like this seriously? Its good for a laugh though.
  11. How is that even possible? Granted' date=' they are a very good and rocking three piece, but they have nowhere near the level of skill or talent as The Slip. [/quote'] Why isn't it possible? I would tend to believe your brother meant in terms of popularity here at jambands or dare I say, within the music scene we all enjoy. Afterall, they are a Canadian band, and a good one at that, worthy of support just as much as some transplanted American band. As for skill & talent, I'd hope the Slip would have the upperhand being around a near decade longer to hone their talents and sound. As for comparing the two, and with a mere > I guess I could easily say OCMS > Slip. See where I am going?
  12. Aj Hangar - thank you. That was the place. Never had any shoving matches there, just good times, good music and loads of booze. Fat Cats at the Toucan(sp?) another awesome party, shoulder to shoulder at that, man it was tight in there. And getting physcally thrown out of Brandies for dropping rye & gingers seconds after I'd buy them, fun times - anyway, I don't want to detract from the subject of the thread with my hazy memories. I sent a link to my friend to check out those sites. Thanks again.
  13. Wild Blues Yonder, Bloom, the Mahones I remember seeing all these bands while my buddy John was going to school in Kingston. I forget the name of the bar where I used to see WBY - I think it had an airplane hanging from the ceiling but I could be mistaken. Bloom I saw at a resturant type place (Molly something or other I think), it had a ton of glass windows is about all I recall. Oh and a conga player with no shirt on & huge hair. The Mahones, I saw numerous times, most memorable was the how at the Tivoli Theater here in Hamilton with Junkhouse, Doug Feaver and High Times (pre-Fat Cats days I believe) or Fatties perhaps, and a few others I am forgeting. Awesome band though. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'm sure my buddy John will be interested in knowing about this as he was always mentioning Joe Chithalen's name to me. Perhaps some of you Kingston folks would remember seeing him (John) around town (94-97 or so), he busked alot - playing his bagpipes in his kilt and whatnot. Tall skinny dude, with long hair. Not sure how many pipers busk around there but he did fairly often. Hungover breakfasts at the Wellington were our usual saturday deal (the enterprise platter FTW)
  14. whisky doesn't need a day - just a glass.
  15. Actually, I believe Blind Willie Johnson wrote the orginal version (Lord, I can't keep from cryin' sometimes), and then Al Kooper wrote the version that Ten Years After plays. So, you were correct the first time. I have a album called Whats shakin' and that track is on it, performed by Paul Butterfield Blues Band (Al Kooper playing with them) its from 66, so around the same time Al Kooper was playing with Blues Project.

  18. I use Sony DVD Architect 4.0 and Vegas 7.0 DVD Architect for authoring the DVD (menu pages, buttons & motion backgrounds, music etc) and vegas for editing both music & video (5.1-surround sound as well). [edit to add] Here's a review http://www.dvpa.com/public/141.cfm
