  1. Be sure to check out Hungercity for your live Neil shows, the 11-18-2007 Kev posted above is available and I'm sure the Massey Hall shows will show up. Every show I've downloaded so far (most of this tour) has been nothing short of stellar - and I'm sure these shows in Toronto will be even better. Have fun folks, wish I could make it.
  2. Unfortunately (for me) I had a bunch of afternoon beers and stretched out for an hour snooze before the bar and woke up at 3am...so I missed it all. Booo
  3. I know a good rehab place...
  4. Thanks Jaimoe - Although I think world of the clones is more fitting. Long hair or short hair, don't matter in my trade, now I just look like everyone else out there. And if I owed a tie-dye, I'd gladly give it to you. But I don't..
  5. Thanks - still freakin feels crazy. Before (1pm today) http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/9060/1125071328wz2.jpg After (10 minutes ago) http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/6097/1125072312fk4.jpg
  6. I guess because of the Grey cup booze (yay I'm drunbk), I find a reason to post this...but, its also been over seven years since it hgappened last - today...Grey Cup Sunday...I cut off all but two inches of my hair. For most folks here, I'm sure this is a trivial, meaningliess post..., and your right, it is...but I know some ffriends will be just as weirded out as I am about it....and my friends, IT's FUCKIN' STRANGE. On the normal, positive side of things...Locks Of Love will be receiving a generous 17" donation of hair this week.
  7. Yeah, great soundtrack, I picked it up halloween day. I love the Señor (Tales Of Yankee Power), Willie sure hits it perfectly as usual with that song and Ramblin' Jack Elliot is always a welcome vocal around this house. Sorta turned off by The Black Keys rendition of 'Wicked Messenger' though, such a good song too. As well, The Hold Steady sorta killed 'Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window?' in my opinion. Was also surpised by Los Lobos 'Billy 1' (and I like Los Lobos). But, I guess no soundtrack is without its weakness when you throw so many bands on it. Surprised you just found out about the Million Dollar Bashers though, alot of talk around here a few months back about the soundtrack.

  17. As far as bluegrass goes, I haven't heard of alot in Hamilton Jay, aside from the folk society and bluegrass clubs. Those are great ways to meet other folks involved/playing bluegrass around town though. The Skyway Bluegrass club is one I used to check out up until last year, I imagine they still active. I know they used to hold open jams on thursdays in Flambourgh at the Legion hall. Tons of great people always ready to play. Also, the folk society used to have something at the legion in Waterdown (and occasionally in Hamilton here), but I haven't spoke to anyone from there in years so I have no idea what night, or if they are even still meeting there. You could always give a call to either hall and inquire. Maybe get some contact info at least. Not much help I know, but some options anyway.

  19. I enjoyed them when I saw them with Fat Cats (and some other bands I forget) at Dunnville airport (Bob's bash 2000 or 2001) - although Clinton wasn't with them if I remember correctly.
  20. kookycanooky thats the same spot that made think how fun it would be, and the flying close to the mountian/ground has got to be a real adrenaline kick. Theres something about falling/hurling towards the ground at break neck speeds thats always appealed to me. Strange as that may sound. I found a ton of other videos on youtube showing more of this stuff, different folks but the same kinda suits. Awesome stuff.
