  1. For conversion you could try DGPulldown. It's under the GNU public license, so it's free. http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DGPulldown
  2. There are many programs that will convert PAL to NTSC, but have you tried it in your current DVD player (or know for sure it won't play PAL?)? A lot of newer (last decade) DVD players will play either format. Both mine play NTSC & PAL and the one is a 12 year old zenith (aka: cheap piece of shit).
  3. This is where I spent 12 hours a day over the weekend..
  4. Agreed. Awesome station. Also check out their youtube channel. There is a great collection of live mini performances and they update it regularly.

  6. That would be a road trip I would enjoy! This one piqued my interest.
  7. Same thing we call a sub. It's just a regional thing...
  8. Did anyone really think they would (or could for that matter) put on a 'good' show? I guess your excused if you don't have children in their teens, watched Grey Cup, listen to the radio, watch TV, or pay even a small amount attention to the current bands out there not in our (jambands.ca) little bubble. Thankfully, the place I was at made it very clear that if you wanted to watch the half time waste - stay home - and they stuck to it, we switched to satellite radio about 10 seconds after the half ended and proceed to head outside for a smoke and BBQ.
  9. We had two moose/vension/beef chilis , one of them with serious 5 alarm bite. We couldn't get the recipe from the guy but it appeared to have the usual chili ingredients - beans (kidney, black etc) but it was packed with a variety of different peppers - serrano, cayenne, jalapeno amongst a couple others. It was really fuckin' hot that's for sure and I'm glad our chef buddy made two versions of it as I wouldn't have been able to eat a second bowl of the 5 alarm stuff - I was pacing and sweating it out for at least a half-hour after finishing. One of the funnier things about it was the lack of trust everyone had for each other after that, I don't think anyone allowed anyone else to get them a bowl, or any food for that matter...even if it meant losing the coveted big easy chair with the beer holder...lol

    Netflix Picks

'Human Centipede' was a weird one, but, I found 'Martyrs' more disturbing. It was a tough watch for the last half of the film, messed up shit. Twisted story with really graphic violence. (beatings) (french w/ english subs).
