cool Sally, just don't let the man know - i'm into chicks with so much Pampered Chef that you couldn't shake a stick at it....
-
the upside to a wednesday feeling like a monday is that when friday/ wednesday rolls around you're pleasantly surprised that the weekend is on the doorstep!
don't let it lull you into complacency though, 'cuz ya gotta get cracking on the trailer park trash get-up for nero before its too late...
-
i hate that nebulous feeling of a spider web that was inadvertently stepped through, 'specially when its dangling about the face!
i also hate the feel of waking up in the morning (usually still fully clothed and reeking of brew, etc...) and trying to decide if the events swimming around in the brain are the remnants of a dream or reality
tigertail ROCKED as a kid...nowadays I'd rather lick the schwetty balls on a dead moose (a la goofball Tom Greene) before eating it... a little graphic, I know, but it gets the point across...
Presently, I am a fiend for PC Coconut Cream...man that junk tastes sweet!
-
i wanna see some decent pix, no matter what the poll results may be!
-
oh no I didn't, but I just couldn't find the right pic...until, now:
-
Trailer park pimps dressed in Togas... this may not be the best graphical representation, but isn't that look already taken by the one and only???
-
well, as my ancient instructor in the art of Ti'ght Che'eks would say:
"Naked is as naked does"
and since then I've only been ashamed when folks point and giggle (but then again, what are co-wokers for?)

...I'm assuming the course that you're talking about this in is an Engineering course of sorts...
on a more related note, this is about as honest and valid as one side of a debate can get. The rich wanna get richer and when everyone else starts running out of money, they wonder why it is that no one is contributing to their ruthless cause. It also helps when your demographic is a billion or so teenage kids dying (literally and figuratively) to be accepted - you could sell some of those poor saps (and we've all been one of them at some point) a bottle of cyanide if they thought it might find them a niche somewhere

"Nude Bradm"/"Wear Your Fav Meat"... aren't these very similar themes
sounds like fun, tho!
(kinda glad i won't be there )

quote:unwanted displays of nudity... can inspire a collective source of shame for those at whom the action is directed.
Funny how that works. In Nigeria it inspires shame for those it is directed at, while here in Canada, my unwanted displays of nudity inspire shame for myself...
On a related note, maybe its all in the way that I direct my nudity...

and if that don't work, chewing yer fingers off really makes them child-proof lighters a bitch...

yeah, and rather par for the course unfortunately... even our politically "bland" Canadian politicians are prone to the patronage bug...

apparently they must be contacted at the following snail-mail address:
Sleeman Label Free Campaign
P.O. Box 336
Station B
Toronto, ON
M5T 2W2
Unless, of course, one has a contact at Sleeman already

a good buddy o' mine decided a good route to quitting was via the "roll-em-yourself" strategy... unfortunately he could roll four smokes (two in each hand) in under 3 1/2 secs by the end of the summer. needless to say, he was smoking more rollies than he was packaged darts in the end
a very sad story, but GM, the force is with you

here's mine:
1. Cake - Fashion Nugget
2. Ben Harper - Will to Live
3. Tool - Opiate
4. Floyd - Wish You Were Here
5. The Hip - In Violet Light
...no Phish/Dead/nero/jamband'esque selections as I'm yet to truly step into the whole deal...
Recommended read: the Dune Chronicles... pretty messy, but well worth the epic
Recommended movie pic: Memento; anything with the words "Star Wars"; or "Apocalypse Now"

one damn good show...best sound check I've ever heard!
heard so much about Punk's talents and I wasn't disappointed (P.S. many thanx for the hospitables in T.O.)...but the rest of the mix did not fall short!!! Those boys played pretty fearsome and had me dusty dancing shoes quaking!
loads o' fun

Quite right, Dancingfool...

...no pun intended, eh?
and, btw, I do like the ice cream and sprinkles analogy, weezy

Its the fools who fly off the handle with sweeping generalizations that often mess up the pursuit of drug-free/drug-induced happiness
translation : when people crap all over your comments, whether you're sober or high, its no fun. .. fly off the handle may be a little strong, but it emphasizes my point
A healthy debate does not generally include the words you DO NOT have any worthwhile opinion on the subject
I'm really thinking that the Sanctuary is not really a place where drugs need to be defended... its almost like preaching to the converted...
quote:
then take a stance one way or the other
just because it doesn't satisfy your urge for a narrowed view, doesn't mean it ain't a "stance" - you do what you do, i'll do what i do, end o' story
just my thoughts...
-
yes indeedy doodle...
and just for everyones' info, Sally is the best Barba Poppa ever!
-
nice read BB... i'll save my comments until those with the well-rounded 'jamband' vocabulary have spoken, cuz I'm mostly just 'yada, yada...'

quote:People have been doing drugs since the beginning of time for a myriad reasons from spiritual to recreational
people have also been practicing spiritual and recreational pasttimes without drugs since the beginning of time. Its the fools who fly off the handle with sweeping generalizations that often mess up the pursuit of drug-free/drug-induced happiness
quote:I personally don't trust anyone who hasn't at least tried pot or shrooms/acid or something...BLAH....
Drugs is drugs and music is music...they can be mutually exclusive or mutually entwined - I fall somewhere in the middle and give a big thumbs up to anyone on either end of the spectrum
having said all of this, i'm done

another snippit from the reviewer:
quote:
a long set that offered, again, lots of lengthy and intricate jams
it was my first trip to a show like this and I was under the impression that lengthy and intricate jams were a given... maybe i'm just too niave for my own good
