  3. this set list isn't too far off what we saw in Toronto - minus of course the Drum solo - which I was really hoping for. Stevie played a lot of material from "In the Key of Life" - but I think it was expected that the adult contemporary vibe would happen - that makes up a large portion of his repetoire. What we didn't also see from this set list: Part Time lover, Boogie On Reggae Woman. I would have also liked to hear Uptight :Everything is alright. --- Stevie Wonder Setlist - Sleep Train Pavilion -8/26/07 Love's In Need of Love Today, Too High, Visions, Livin' for the City, Master Blaster (Jammin'), (I Heard it Through the Grapevine>Billie Jean)*, Higher Ground, Golden Lady> Ribbon in the Sky, Can't Imagine Love Without You, You and I, Overjoyed, Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing, Signed, Sealed, Delivered, (Signed, Sealed, Delivered)**, Most Beautiful Girl in the World, Boogie On Reggae Woman, My Cherie Amour, All I Do (Is Think About You), Sir Duke, I Wish, Isn't She Lovely, You Are the Sunshine of My Life, Superstition > Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker), Do I Do> Band Intros> Stevie on Drums Solo, Part-Time Lover> I Just Called to Say I Love You, So What The Fuss?, Another Star *Stevie on Clavinet w/ Voice Effects **Performed as a Country Song

There are no other bands that represent the heart and soul of the Canadian JAM scene better than THE BURT NEILSON BAND, FAT CATS & CAUTION JAM. Special guest Mark Crissinger returns to the Caution Jam fold after relocating to British Columbia only 6 months ago. Three sets of music plus an All-Star Encore will be undeniably one of the most exciting events of the fall - so get your funkin' shoes on and mark the date on your calendar! CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE & INVITE YOUR FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK HERE: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=5293883251&ref=nf THE LINE-UP BURT NEILSON BAND www.myspace.com/burtneilson Formed in 1996 in frosty Thunder Bay, Ontario, BURT NEILSON BAND is a four-piece group simply in love with music. Consisting of bass, drums, guitar, keyboards and vocals, BNB thrives on live performances filled with creativity and spontaneity. The band, in their 11 year career, have toured Canada coast to coast eighteen times, played over eight hundred shows, had four successful independent releases, and secured an army of loyal and devoted fans. With an original lineup of seven, BNB have refined their sound over the years to be more focused, clean and in tune with the moment. Mike Filipowitsch (guitar/vocals), Jeff Heisholt (keyboards/vocals), Jeremy Little (bass/vocals) and Gavin Maguire (drums/vocals) do their best to create music from the heart, drawing heavily from their backgrounds of rock n roll, funk, country and life. The road has been good to Burt Neilson Band. They've been lucky enough to play across Canada and the USA, logging countless hours of van time and stage experience. From their beginnings in Northern Ontario, the band quickly branched out to spread their music to as many people as possible. One cross country tour suddenly turned into a dozen and before they knew it, BNB found themselves veterans of the highway and leaders of a new resurgence of independent Canadian touring bands. Consistently selling out rooms across the country and basically living on the road became the norm for Burt Neilson. So in 2002 the band decided to take a year off, settle down and get ready for another long stretch of writing, performing and recording. The band emerged from hibernation in early 2003 and were back at it again in full force which landed BNB the 2003 Canadian Organization of Campus Activities (COCA) Indie Band of the Year award. Burt Neilson Band first entered the recording studio in 1997. Although throughout their years they have encouraged the taping and trading of their live shows, 1998 saw the release of the self-titled Burt Neilson Band. Recorded in Thunder Bay, the CD featured 10 of the bands first compositions and went on to sell out of many pressings. BNB followed that with 2000s Orange Shag Carpet, which featured more mature writing and showcased the musical growth of the band. 2001 brought the release of Five Alive, a live CD recorded while on tour in Ontario that March. It featured one song from each previous release as well as six new originals and clocked in at 74 minutes. The band released their fourth CD, By the Door in February 2004, which brought BNB's exploratory sound down to a concise album which focused more on songwriters Mike Fliplipovitch & Jeff Heisholt. In 2006, The Burt Neilson Band celebrated their 10 year anniversary with a star studded show at Toronto's Opera House where they were joined onstage with former BNB member Scotty Farmer and guest musicians from Caution Jam and Fat Cats plus Andrew Rodriguez, Peter Elkas, Steve Murphy and more... With over 600 fans in attendance - The Burt Neilson Band's legacy of Canadian Roots Rock was assured. FAT CATS www.fat-cats.com www.myspace.com/hamiltonfatcats It is hard to write something new about the Fat Cats because everything has been written about, discussed, and debated throughout the band's storied, decade-long history. Begun in 1993 in Hamilton, Ontario, the Fat Cats have changed personnel numerous times throughout the years, but their style, dedication to the scene, and sonic intensity has never wavered since their inception. Built on the solid foundation of Todd Gillies on guitar and lead vocals, Chris Gatchene on guitar and vocals, and Dave Hill on bass, the band has re-created their timeless originals and tasteful covers with many different singers, drummers, and keyboard players over the years while touring Canada and the United States and releasing two fantastic albums, Daredevil and Cruelty's Cure in the process. With the Fat Cats you get honest, no-bullshit folk rock night after night, regardless if they play a set of originals or an all cover tune set. With their incredible original tunes that beautifully mould rock, folk, country, and bluegrass into pure musical emotion, and constant tributes to The Band, the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Buddy Holly and countless others, the Fat Cats are simply fantastic. By playing tunes like the traditional "Breadbox," their trademark celebratory original "You," or a beautifully crafted rendition of "Tangled Up In Blue," the Fat Cats provide what is often lacking in modern popular music--unbridled and passionate emotion. With their newest line-up formalizing to be the their last, the band has been steadily touring Ontario with goals to further extend their touring route to maybe include Quebec and the East Coast in the near future. To sum it up, the Fat Cats are the quintessential roots rock hometown band, and their shows are events where the whole town comes together to toast a band that has been through thick and thin, but still plays with a youthful enthusiasm night after night. Celebrating their 15 year anniversary this year - Fat Cats continue to be a relevant and vibrant fixture of Southern Ontario's music scene. CAUTION JAM www.cautionjam.com The Caution Jam phenomenon began sometime in 1991 when bass player Les and guitarist Eric teamed up to form a variety act based mostly in North American classic folk and blues. As time went on, however, the acoustic duo began welcoming new members into the fold: Mark Crissinger on guitars and vocals, Bruce Griffin on keys, and Bruce Brooker on drums. Thus, defining their own sound through the poetry of the Grateful Dead, "Toronto's jammin' cowadelic funkgrass blues band" was born. Caution Jam's active repertoire spans close to 100 Grateful Dead songs, as well as their own original compositions. Their originals are folky, funky, and melodic — they are songs you could sing along with after having only heard them a few times. Having also covered the likes of the Allman Brothers, the Beatles, Miles Davis, Johnny Cash, and many others, the Caution boys can play outside their stock of pure, unadulterated Dead. "We're trying to get people excited about seeing the old-school shit," Mark exclaims. In fact there's a lot to admire about a group of guys who've dedicated their music to the staples of deadhead culture: the free-form exploration of psychedelic consciousness, and the musical diversity of the Grateful Dead. You can't think of Caution Jam as merely a Dead cover band — there's depth to their groove, there's coherence to their sound, and they deliver the classics with style, intelligence, and panache. But, like the Dead, the real thrust of Caution Jam is their skilled improvisation. What each player says with his instrument is heard differently by each of the other band members, and the tones and dynamic contours are different every time they play. Each member of the band runs on solo excursions, breathing fire into the music. SPECIAL GUEST: MARK CRISSINGER In 2007, Mark said good-bye to the Caution Jam Family after a 15 year run of cross Canada shenanigans to relocate to Gibson's BC. For this special engagement, Mark will fly out and reunite with his Caution Jam bandmantes. Performing in many blues inspired rock bands including The Bluezbuds, and occasionally The Burt Neilson Band, Mark has been been a mainstay in the Jamband and Classic Rock scene for 20 years. A vesitle lead guitarist & singer, Mark performs upto 100 show a year all over Southern Ontario & Atlantic Canada. Mark is tastefull player in the spirit of BB King, The Allmans Brothers and Albert Collins. With a vast repetoire of classic 70's folk, rock and blues, Mark is also a great singer and songwriter currently working on a solo album of acoustic material. The album is reminicent of his work on Caution Jam's acoustic offering Shady Groove; with laid back acoustic grooves & mischevious lyrics. ~ More information and Group tickets can be arranged by emailing nufunkconcerts@gmail.com presented by: www.nufunk.ca www.myspace.com/nufunk [color:blue] Hey everyone!
